Yeah, that's a fucked up story. I'm still not paying $60K for that thing, though.

Expensive, but only by about $1-1.5k since it's a clean Cali truckmax225 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 16, 2019 8:13 pm https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/d/ ... 32182.html
Is this cheap or expensive ?
I paid $5200 for my GMC with 172k miles. Heated leather seats, sunroof, auto dual zone climate control, dimming side mirrors, L33 engine etc. Deals are out there, and sometimes I wish I actually had the cloth seats. That's also the best looking of the GMT800s IMO

You just need to get rid of a lot of stuff. Lambo doors, etc. etc.Huckleberry wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 2:23 pm Yeah, that's a fucked up story. I'm still not paying $60K for that thing, though.
Are they going to update the transmission or engine? I've heard (have a friend who owns one) that the combo is abysmal, particularly the transmission.KYGTIGuy wrote:So the tacos are getting a refresh. If they fix those seats it could get back on the list.
Not sure. Only thing I can find is a not too revealing photo and the fact that it gets unveiled at the Chicago auto show.

I drove a V6/6 speed manual back in '16 or '17. I was amazed at how Toyota was able to successfully form a yawn into sheet metal.

It'll be a new grille and tail lights at most.

So, I've been watching my trans temp display for shits and giggles over the past week. When it was 4 degrees out ambient, trans struggles to get over 90 degrees; but when it is above 32 trans gets up to 110ish as usual.

In the 50s and 60s.
Then back into the 30s for the weekend when I could actually devote some time to installing my HIDs.

It's always intrigued me how the Taco was able to retain its following despite the lackluster powertrains and frame rotting issues.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Mon Feb 04, 2019 12:51 pmbesmirch the bestest, most reliable, most sacred truk in the world?

Not everyone lives in the rust belt. Tacos are super popular here and in Hawaii and florida. A lot of this "taco love" is from the fact that the big 3 decided to nuke their mid sizers.Huckleberry wrote: ↑Mon Feb 04, 2019 1:44 pmIt's always intrigued me how the Taco was able to retain its following despite the lackluster powertrains and frame rotting issues.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Mon Feb 04, 2019 12:51 pm

The competition never really got there. Toyota built the brand by building a strong reliable truck consistently for years. Meanwhile, Ferd built an ancient tiny truck for too long and GM let the S10 languish and basically stopped trying with the GMT355 embarrassment.[user not found] wrote: ↑Mon Feb 04, 2019 2:16 pmLackluster but reliable, and the competition wasn't necessarily any better.Huckleberry wrote: ↑Mon Feb 04, 2019 1:44 pm
