The Munroney on mine was $71K. Which I will provide to Carvana. Only demods are:

1. Blendmount/Wiring for Escort 360
2. Mild to Wild Switch
3. Dual passenger side cupholder.

I think all of these but the cupholder are useless to everyone on this forum, and assuming Griff offs his I think all we got left is Cale in the Shamrock version.

Regardless of price, somebody is going to get a nice car.

No it won’t… and I doubt you’re willing to play the markup game and trying to find one within a 1500 mile radius

Well, I'm not in the market until the winter, so I think anything is game to consider right now. Our market is much less competitive than yours for Toyotas.

:tits: really wants a 4Runner now. Saw one as we drove by the :dillerman: and has been pointing them out incessantly ever since. I have zero interest in that, Tacoma maybe slightly, but then the towing is an issue. I'm trying to steer us into an honest V8 truck that does truck things and an efficient smaller thing to do city and trips in. Would actually like that to be an EV, but nothing out there really interests me.

IIRC some dickhead had a gen 2 he liked, but then his wife wanted something that sits up higher for visibility or some garbage so it was traded on a :jeep: like any real American would do.

I will say that I'd like something more midsized. I'm a giant and not getting younger, pretzeling into cars just isn't that appealing anymore.

From what I can tell the 4 runners are even HARDER to find than tacomas. Also they are still made in Japan I believe and imported here, which isn't helping matters.

Towing will be an issue. I wouldn't tow more than 4000lbs with mine... and even then I feel like it would be struggle bus status just being pegged at 5000rpm on the freeway which is an awful experience IMO. This thing gets loud above 4k rpm.

The "pro" models don't come with any financial incentives from toyota, are super limited in production and they don't even come with interest rate specials. So it's all really :disgust: from a buying experience. And as mentioned you can't walk in and "order" one either.

from what I can tell the best market for tacomas is Texas. They still :dill: there because they are the baby dick trucks of the lone star state.

That Hyundai Ionic with the flat front floor would probably be :amaze: for a giant like yourself. Pair that with one of the best driving assist systems in tbe biz and wawaweewa

Seppuku story time.

Yesterday I decided I should exercise the soggy 2001 Taco with the lovely 2.4 liter beast of fury. It was a warm day and I was running AC.

I was attempting to merge on an on ramp... 80% throttle and 15% incline and short ramp... it is sort of a doomsday type scenario. The thing wouldn't move past 45mph and the RAPTOR behind me (with the 6.2) was literally ready to run me the fuck over. Once the onramp leveled out I got to 60-65 before merging... and he obviously HAD to blast past me at 80 +

Then a short 20 min later... I was struggle bussing up an incline and my speed dropped from 70 to 60... and once again the truck just couldn't keep up with AC on... and the CIVIC behind me was about to lose his shit even though everyone else was struggling at 50-55 on the same incline.

CUCK LIFE. I think I am done exercising that thing for a while. That was not a pleasant experience.

Something like that needs to be driven WOT everywhere. Not pleasant, but can be a bit :lolol: inducing before the novelty wears off and :rage: sets in.

It's interesting to see how far the industry has come in terms of performance. Back in 01, that thing was slow, but not dangerous. Now, it's nearly dangerous since everything else is so much quicker now.

Yea I don't think this thing weighs much. I'd be shocked if it is over 3200lbs... so not THAT much different from the Cross Tranny with the CVT, other than this thing having a 4 speed, which is frankly fine. But the issue is at 5000rpm this thing literally sounds like it was going to fall apart. It has 255k miles after all, and questionable if any maintenance (pre me).

It has 142 hp (when new) and 160lb of torque. Most of the time it has no issues keeping up. But warm day + AC+ hill = DOOM.

Hence the word of caution in the other thread.

Also because it is a truck motor... it HATES revving. Like this thing despises anything above 3500rpm. It used have crazy belt slip and squeaks above that range. That were just ferrying but I got that sorted.

Mine was a manual though so that helped. I loved driving that thing WOT everywhere, which really wasn't that far since it got 12mpg doing that.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Ford is just knocking it out of the park lately. The Maverick is a bold move, but could pay off big time. Ford has essentially made it's cheapest entry level model a hybrid pickup. That could pay off big, this thing is :neat:

Yea it’s :notbad: still waiting on the bronco tho… I know Ford touts the variety of options as something good but frankly it’s a bit overwhelming. There is no need for 5 trim levels and 20+ options within each one of them. The complexity is just stupid imo

Yea, their complexity is insane. And it's probably why they're still not producing at full capacity. And that's Ford's biggest challenge lately. They're revealing outstanding products, but when it comes to producing them, the challenges are abound.
