I’m with Max. This thing sucks on the highway. Also. Pretty sure this is the same truck you had :225:
Holy shit you got my Jeep! Which rental agency did you use.

Did you have wind noise issues as well ?
Sixt. Non stock windshield. Side window has been replaced too. Loud as fuck on the highway all wind noise no road noise. Drives like a bus. I can move the wheel like 5 degrees and no response. This thing is exhausting on a highway drive over 60 MPH.

Oh shit I used sixt also.... but I had Cali plates tho.

Interesting about steering, mine was okayish in terms of that, but a lot of guys were complaining about that very thing you’re describing. It seems to vary vehicle to vehicle.

You may want to double check if the roof was put back on right. It’s actually a bit more cumbersome than on the JK.

I drove that Jeep for 30 hrs in 4 days. And one open road section in Cali with wind had me fking exhausted. You couldn’t keep it straight.

You do eventually get used to it - I've gotten used to the :jeep:

But it's no modern vehicle with noise-canceling steering.

JK was quieter in terms of wind... louder in terms of everything else

If you spent 100x as much on it as a comparable camping item at wallyworld you are. I bought a $1.88 cooler that held shit cool for 24 hrs between hotels. I should have obviously gotten a portable fridge though

Yeah I can’t bring myself to buy a styrofoam landfill adder. So hopefully a homeless person gets a nice cheap cooler when I’m done. Going on day 2 same bag of ice.

The trail got nuts and I turned it around Still had 4 miles to the overlook. But meh that was good enough for me.

Forest service uses 4cyl Colorado’s. Beefy tires tho. The Jeep could totally handle it I was just worried about the damn minivan rubbers.

Fuck yeah Johnny. Nice pics.

I know I said it before, but if you get an itch to come down to San Diego you’ve got a shower, a bed, pups to cuddle, and laundry can be done.

Either way, have an awesome trip and enjoy your break from working :like:
