Been snowing here for the last 6 hours with no sign of stopping. Some accumulation on the lawns but zero on the streets so far. I suspect the ground is just too warm for anything of substance to stick.

Hmm, something might be up? The first thing I noticed in the sport s SOFT TOP we rented was how quiet it was on road. We cruised 80mph for hours in PR when we had it, and could hold conversations just fine. It wasn't super windy though, so maybe that's it a matter of weather. Ours did have the factory windshield...it's very possible that the OEM windshield is better.max225 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 11:45 amThe jl windnoise is worse than jk. others on the forum noted it also, and it’s not the mirrors it’s the windshield /upper part part of the roof.[user not found] wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 11:42 am Wind noise is a function of the vehicle, unfortunately - the mirrors and windshield angle contribute heavily. The JL was tweaked significantly to help with it, but you can't address it completely without losing that signature Jeep look.
My JKU is terrible in the wind - thankfully, long highway trips are not something I do all that often. It's a great vehicle for schlepping around town in. I can only imagine the JLU is even better.
Glad you had the same impression as I did. The JL makes the JK irrelevant.

Yeah basically you pick a sports car, a JL compliments it nicely. I think if I didn’t corvette I would go for a Cayman or Boxster.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 1:54 pmYou're
I loved having both, and a 991.2 is even better to pair with it.
The 4C has also been catching my eye quite a bit. If I had a 911 I would DD it I think.

Mine likes it as well. It isn’t a vehicle one can hate easily.
Mine complained about 3 things (wind, busy steering due to wind, mpg but it’s actually decent ) that’s not a long list from an enthusiast vehicle.
There are a quite a few reasons these are so popular.

Anddddd the is gone. 29hr 1300 mile Test Drive complete. I covered dirt, pavement, rocks, gravel along 2 states and 2 national parks. I drove in LA traffic, @ 55F weather and 110heat, @ -200 feet and @ 5000 feet elevation.
Encountered 0 issues.
22.0 mpg flat
I am missing it already as is the woman.
There has only been one real issue, which is the wind noise, I don’t think it was the windshield. It’s the angle of it etc. under non headwind conditions it is very quiet and tracks straight as an arrow. But dear god .... if you go head on into wind or cross wind it is a simply unbearable experience at that point.
This is the only “utilitarian” vehicle that has ever made me smile. It’s special, it’s American and it is simply great
