For you :wasteful: I don't think you really want much more than what a Sport offers?

They look cool. True doe, a Sport with some rubicon take off wheels and rock sliders would be fine. Doubt I'd actually need lockers.

It does and it doesn't the issue is unless you special order one with an epic discount and selective options you're at 50k+ Tax. Vs 37-38k+ tax on a sport. 35k OTD vs 50k OTD. properly negotiated. I seriously doubt you'll recoup the rubicon upcharge if :scrooge: is the name of the game.

The rubicunt is obviously way nicer looking, comes with big boy tires, epic hood and lets everyone know you're the one with the fat wallet vs a mall crawl poser.

The head of engineering addressed it and said it was intentional to make sure that it never overheats on a trail in extreme conditions.

I'm pretty sure they could have had some extra conditional checks on this, but whatever... Yeah, it's loud outside the JL... when my wife pulls up with the A/C on more than fan speed 3 I hear it inside the house when she stops in the driveway.
Just loud outside the vehicle? Or is it annoying inside as well?
There is a decent amount of sound insulation, so I doubt you'll hear it unless the windows are down.

That's correct.... But anyone at a light next to you will look, and anyone outside will be like :wtf:

Dang... Jeep looks to be pretty safe compared to the tin can mazda. Almost no deformation.

2019 Jeep updates announced...
1. Adoptive Cruise
2. Emergency Brake "warning" :wtf: I wonder if it actually brakes

Removal of some colors and addition of a blue/gray color... Semi boring as anticipated. Pretty wild to see almost no updates.... can't mess with purrfection I suppose.

I was looking at those AEV Hemi Conversions last night. If I had $100K lying around, I would rather put a 6 .4 liter Hemi in a JL with all of the rest of the stuff they offer than buy a G55, Range Rover, Land Cruiser, etc.
Depreciation would be super low and I would be king of the malls, Rodeo Drive, or even off road trails. 5/7 would buy.

I've looked at the Hemi conversions for fun. Would definitely be sick. Apparently there are LS swaps done too.

Yeah, been keeping an eye on this one myself.

If it looks like this or better I will probably end up pulling a :plac: with the ZR2 for it. That's how much I love the JLU.

Yeah I really like how that looks. Better vacuum all the dog hair out of the JK so I can trade it in on one of these.

Yea, but AEV's kit is like it came from the factory that way. I've always thought about buying a 2011 JK with a blown up engine and buying the AEV hemi swap kit. Would be a ton of fun to do.

Yeah those were the Hemi kits I was looking at. Really clean looking, seems like it'd be a blast to drive around in too.

Still looking at those mopar lifts. I'll probably do the 2" one early-ish (tax return) next year.

It looks pretty straightforward and you've got the popster's garage. It would be a cool thing. Like you said, the conversions look clean and IMHO would hold value well, if not like a rare factory option, at least close.

Because the 2011 was last year of the 3.8=boat anchor.

If it still had the 3.8, why not get anything from 2007-2011 then? Or did they have the updated interior in 2011 with the old drivetrain?

2011 model year refresh

The 2011 model added a new steering wheel, as well as a completely redesigned interior with higher quality materials, larger rear windows to increase rear visibility, and a new USB interface with Bluetooth audio streaming. For the first time ever, automatic temperature controls were also added to the Wrangler as an option. The redesign was intended to provide a more refined interior as well as directly addressing interior comfort in noise and temperature.

Exactly.

2011's seem to hold their value worse than 2012+ because of the "boat anchor". If I could find one with a blown up engine or maybe front end damage (would be super simple to fix), that would be 5/7.

I look every so often. I should again.

There is one for sale up the street from me. I think it's a 2011 IIRC. Has some mods like fender flares, a lift, aftermarket front bumper and probably a few other things. I can check it out tonight when I walk Ava if you want some deets.
