Not as cool, not a convertible, no manual, ugly... I agree that if you actually "just need a truck" for whatever reason, it makes a lot more sense, the Ranger looks horrible though. Also, with depreciation curves, I wouldn't doubt the JT is actually cheaper to own if you have the $60K in capital to blow.
FWIW, a Sport S with 7" screen, hard top, and auto is $43k MSRP. Should have no issue getting one for well under $40k. Has everything you could want, nothing you don't. Goofy looks are instantly solved with a set of take-off Rubicon Wheels/tires for under $1k.
Yes, still a ton of money, but everyone throws out the $50k+ numbers that just aren't the entire story. It is for a Rubicon, but few need a Rubicon.
I absolutely love my JT. It's almost been a month with it, and I still get giddy when I walk up to it. Working it's way up the favorites list...easily top 5 ATM.

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.

Absolutely. I think it's something like:
1.) 951
2.) C5
3.) JT
4.) GMT400
5.) ZR2

I threw out $6750 that would allow someone to stop being and not be tied to a vehicle through 72 months stretch pay requiring working hours... but

Yes it's a cool car. But prepare the lube/sawdust.

Maybe I should go buy it. That's the perfect vehicle if I pull the ripcord.

I get dis.
I wonder if I could find an old S-10 ZR2 or something somewhere west/south with no rust.
I'd get an H3T V8 in a second if they still weren't $30k things.

That thing was sweet, forgot about it.
I think about that truck constantly. I LOVED that thing. Might be the only vehicle I really regret selling. Was so awesome.

Vroom is some company that delivers cars to your door I guess?
They have a handful of nice Outbacks on their site. Man these things are cheap used. $25k gets you a nice car with leather, nav, harmon kardon, eyesight, radar cruise, low miles, etc. Step up to the 6 cyl is only a little more money, and it still gets 27 highway on regular.

White over tan would be sweet.
They charge like $1500 for their “services” so their advertised price is bullshit

There is no reason to buy a JGC without a Hemi. That is the primary consideration over the Wrongler besides all the dick swinging off road stuff.
Very likely an FCA employee lease being that new with those miles. Not a bad thing, they're maintained really well. People are just a bit with them usually.
