It's not incompetence...it's against the LAW. Tesla has skirted around it magically, but still can't sell everywhere.
The laws are outdated. Start yelling at .gov rather than OEMs. They have enough problems they can't handle.
"I want the .gov to regulate and handle healthcare"
"The .gov has royally fucked up the free market system by regulating the auto industry"
My biggest beef with auto industry regulation isn't with dealer laws, but with emissions and FE laws that impact the supply side of the equation without touching demand. The .gov is forcing companies to produce vehicles people don't want to buy. It's an epic fail that's only going to get worse.
Gas prices need to raise drastically to make the .gov plans work out.

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.

So why did you have gripes with my comments about the Cali vs .gov insanity. A state should not have power over the gov to set standards

Because requirements for air quality vary by region. If CA wants to ban ICE cars and switch entirely to EVs to protect their unique air quality concerns (population density, geography in LA, etc) it should have the ability to do so.
But if the entire country decides to ban ICE cars in the name of air quality for LA, SF, NY, and other densely populated areas, the people in BFE (which is a big part of this country) are unfairly paying for extra vehicles/features they don't want or need. The country is too diverse to have strict blanket requirements.
I'd actually prefer to see states/regions implement taxes to adjust demand and just have one achievable minimum .gov requirement to meet. Want to buy a gas guzzler in LA? You can, but it's going to cost you.

From website pics the rest of the body looks good. Probably going to swing by tomorrow to check it out in person. I asked the dillerman for some frame pics before I drove down.
This was the purchase order, power of attorney, trade odometer, buyers order, carfax, etc.
Should be 10-14 days to delivery of the Trailcock from receipt of paperwork. Paperwork was picked up at the Fedex dropbox at 7:30 tonight, they'll have it Monday with my money.
That’s exactly how my transaction went. Also the exact set of initial docs I got. With the exception of the title fuck up + hurricane that delayed the registration. I purchased the vehicle without ever setting foot @the dillerman rape palace.

Drove down to check out that TJ. Body had one small dent under the passenger door. No rust on the body and everything looked good.
Until I stuck a finger in one of the frame holes and discovered a bowl full of rust flakes.
Those are just water drain holes for the frame. Better for mudding.

Frame is working on adding more drain holes itself, from the inside.

Well that’s what it looks like man, the rust was draining out of those holes, it just depends on how bad it is... it looked surfacy still ... but who knows.

Yeah, just tell him to blast it and hit it with paint if he's worried about that surface rust.

DFD. The forum where everybody makes the same choices and then tells anybody trying to join the club that they are the stupidest motherfucker to ever walk the earth.
