ive gotten numerous compliments on the gmc 1500 :dedong: back seats. Its like a full on sofa back there.
Modern trucks are incredibly comfortable. It is kind of :mindblown: really. My buddies Ram 1500 ecodiesel that I helped him buy rides better than an S class. I was shocked, and his is the last gen (2016) they have gotten even MORE comfortable since.

I will never understand the "pickup" truck thing since I am from communist European origin, and beds simply don't compute. Since most are not sold to Farmers etc, it is certainly some kind of cultural thing.

Well the thing is most people don't live out in the farms, it is only a tiny % of the population. Vast majority are City Slickers... and they still buy trucks. It is bizzare to those of us who don't understand it. But hey, people in Peru wear tiny hats.

Man, we were just in Italy for a week and I saw exactly one pickup truck the entire time, we fit in well in our rental Panda.

It's funny, just about everyone there drives the car they "need" whereas most Americans drive something frivolous because we "want" it. We truly have it so good here.

This is interesting, not great but also if there is a way to move this down to 42k this becomes a :dill: i am willing to take. It would be around 14k less than new and around 7k in depreciation already absorbed.

:notbad: way to save on a bit of taxes/initial hit.

We live in a crazy time where over $40k is a good deal on a used ‘murican truk.

Out of curiosity, why the need for the Rubi? I’d much rather get a brand new lesser model in a color for under $40k but I’m sure there’s some reason I’m :wrong:

There is no need for either the Jeep or the rubi, a cross trek is what I truly need. There is just a want and the the rubicon is not that much extra. Also the rubi I want is 56.5k msrp :disgust:

I’ll be in a Sahara I believe for around 4 days and 2000

It does look cooler (Rubi) and you’ll likely get most of that money back at plac time. Really, the CA tax on $55K is a large part of the issue so this lightly used seems like a decent bet.

Taxes fk me either way in Cali. I’ll have to do some research on this issue, as I’ll have an immense sales tax bill in Cali this year with the ring thing and the Jeep. So there maybe some kind of tax saving but who knows. It’s still about 4 months away which is an eternity in :plac: life

I mean, I won’t deny that it’s awesome that I can just pull a couple plugs and have a dry interior in 5 seconds.

But the fact that the roof is leaking that badly again is annoying. I was just thinking about putting the carpet back in.
Okay, useful details.

I just thought you might have been thinking that the plugs should hold water.

If it leaks that much you might as well go topless, ZFG.

Everything has those body plugs. I can remember the B5 Passats with the sunroof drain recall/problem. If they had trans issues and no communication with the module you could pop the plug on the passenger side and get a good gallon of water out.

Moral of the story: Don't buy cars with holes in the roof.
I told you not to buy the JKU.

Seriously, you still have some warranty, right? get it in there for a fix before it expires and ride them to make it right, even if it takes all year after the warranty expires.
