Grandfather fell and broke his hip last July, he recovered surprisingly well but I think things are going to start going downhill pretty sharply from here.
Memory is fading quickly, mental acuity just isn’t there anymore, appetite is waning, and his speech is... definitely not as steady as it was back in November when I was here last. His breathing also sounds a little labored.
It’s gonna be an interesting year I believe.

Been a while since I've been on here...
I recently went off-roading and got stuck. My friend pulled me out with his taco so it was fine, tho he taco got stuck later going down the mountain and we had to wait until some friendly Jeep convoy with a winch came by. Hope you enjoy this pic

I hate the fact that I can buy 2 of these for the price of 1 jeep that I want.

I replaced the Halogens on the Mercedes with Hella "2pointbros" that advertise 100% more light (at the expense of bulb durability). They are truly but I also come from the generation that does not immediately want to kill myself if I do not have a field of vision at night similar to a Baja 1000 competitor.Detroit wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2019 11:38 amAny idea what bulbs you bought? I want to put halogens back in the truck, but threw out the stockers in the move because they were garbage.troyguitar wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2019 11:30 am Halogen projectors can be pretty good. That's what we have on the mazda3 and what I had on both the and mr2, with decent bulbs they were all good. I think the Zephyr has them too.

We're having a discussion about Halogen bulbs that don't suck? AFAIK Hella makes a lot of fking light bulbs perhaps there is an application for the one at issue?max225 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2019 4:14 pmWrong thread ?Desertbreh wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2019 4:11 pm

I don't hate the way it looks, but it's not worth a dime more than a normal JK IMO.

Yeah, just because they spent a boatload making it for SEMA means nothing... They also wrote off the cost as an expense, I'm sure.
Just like the JK truck that my friend had at the detail shop, it was a SEMA vehicle and the shop that made it was getting it detailed before putting it up for sale.... they wanted $120K for it claiming some $250k invested...
Uh... no?

SEMA builds are usually and rushed, likely resulting in many cut corners and something that's just a bunch of This Jeep is a great example of this. Makes zero sense.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 12:16 pmYeah, just because they spent a boatload making it for SEMA means nothing... They also wrote off the cost as an expense, I'm sure.

Yep. I would wager 95% of them are looks before function as "nobody else will ever drive them" is said a lot when the build is coming down to xx hours until the show opens.Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 12:18 pmSEMA builds are usually and rushed, likely resulting in many cut corners and something that's just a bunch of This Jeep is a great example of this.
