Boat anchor tranny or engine? Engine is same... trans... oh well... not much you can do, both feel pretty damn slow outside of keeping up with traffic, they are g'd damn bricks.

Waxer says the JL is pretty much a Ranger Rover vs. the JK. I would have to check the JL out, to see if worth the premium. Probably is for a one car guy.

Well, the JL has more attributes outside of the transmission. But for those attributes you'll have to spend a pretty penny. I'd probably roll in a poverty spec sport with just power+ac. ~33-35k. I'd then get take off rubicunt wheels + some speakers and call it a day.

I am actually down to do a swap for a week or two, as long as the miles stay reasonable and the wheels don't get curbed and the tires don't get burned

Yeah.. 500 mile drive, so each vehicle automatically gets 1k miles tacked on it just to make the trade and then return them to each other.

It is especially tough when you have limited mile budgets... that'll burn through almost a month of my miles... I drive too damn much.

I was hoping to stay under 10k this first year, but then last month made an unexpected trip up to Lancaster, another up to Venice, then gonna be driving back up to Lancaster at least once next month.. There's 1000 miles added on real quick. I'll probably average right about 1000 miles a month this first year.

The engine is actually not 100% the same either. The internals are slightly different and where it makes power has changed a bit.

I know you're super 100% set against it, but I just can't imagine it being bad at this point now that the growing pains are done.

FCA makes very decent cars.
