Factory Five Cobra?

I've been toying with the idea of doing a V8 in a Triumph TR6 for the next project and making a poor man's Cobra. A Shelby Po' Bruh, if you will.
Don't know if it was a Factory Five or a "real" one. How would you even tell? It did have a 427 badge on the fender but :notsure: if that means anything regarding authenticity. :iono:

A V8 TR6 would be :tits: . There would certainly be room for one I bet. A couple hundred years ago I helped a buddy pull the engine in his TR6 and that straight-6 was yuuuge.
If it was a "real one" it would be in a covered trailer. Actual 427 Cobras are all major 7 digit affairs.

I guess? It didn't look or feel new like I imagine an F5 would. It had a "old but good condition" vibe to it, but who knows. You're most likely right. Still cool, :doe:

Nah, he is right. I imagine very few of us have ever seen a 'real' one, it is safe to assume they are all replicas unless you're in a museum, at Pebble Beach, etc. Replicas have been around for a long time so it could be old, and they all started as something that's meant to look old.

:whocares: :doe: , I think replicas are better, stuff you can actually go drive is the best stuff. It is a nice looking machine, I'd love to take it for a spin and poop my pants in fear.

Still very cool. Factory Five has been around for a while, and the older Cobras can be bought for not a ton of money. As for the 427 badge, without popping the hood, you wouldn't know if it actually had a 427.

I have a small 4.3L V8 that I pulled out of my cousin's 95 Caprice 11 years ago and it has been sitting on a dolly since. My dad's Impala also came with a Muncie that has been sitting under my bench since he bought the car.
