Thanks! The exhaust tips need some help, but I've got the goods at home. I'll do a spray sealant as well, and then try to find an upholstery shop to put Dplacs seat covers on and fix the foam.

Hopefully Dan and I can find time to swap his DRM SHOX onto my car.

Sadly I might have to rescind the offer... my Carvana/Vroom quotes dropped significantly... it looks like the damn lost title will cost me $3-5K based on having to wait to sell for a month. Given that, I think I'm going to throw it up on Cars & Bids and see what happens. Carvana and Vroom were both right at $11.3K in May and June and are now offering $8300 and $6300 respectively.

The shocks are quite inexpensive for what they are I wouldn't let Dan's car hold you up I consider DRM Bilsteins a must do bang for the buck for any C5/C6 owner.

Yeah it's kind of a bummer, almost a 50% drop from Vroom in a month :mindblown:

Thanks man. I am a bit frustrated with myself, had I not lost the title, I wouldn't be here. :ohwell: what can you do?

I do agree with Eric :doe: , the $500 for the DRM Bilsteins is a no brainer, I should've done it sooner.

For the record, I still have stock Z06 shocks in my attic. 70K miles I believe on em. Stock Z06 sway bar as well.

I submitted mine to Caravana and got a quote of $14K. If I sell mine I'm starting at $22 and willing to drop down to 18ish. But I'll be keeping it for a while.

Yeah I'm not worried about the cost, but free is free. My shox are fine for a while.

Also it appears the service advisor put 1,000 miles on my car so we're good

After sleeping on it, I think I'm going to shoot for private sale on the C5. $8300 just isn't enough for me to accept without trying something else.

I mean, come one...

2000 silver automatic for $19K https://columbia.craigslist.org/ctd/d/n ... 60273.html
Total shitbox for $9500 https://greenville.craigslist.org/cto/d ... 74809.html
Same mileage and 50AE like mine but with auto for $18K https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... 3c705f27fe

What do y'all think about pricing? I was leaning towards asking $12.5K but based on these comps, I think that may be a little low. I would be ecstatic to get $12K, :thisisfine: with > $10K, but more is always better.

C5's pop up in my FBM feed all the time. For some reason, people think they're worth gold. I just don't see it, but I'd list your car at $13k and see what bites come in. I had a hell of a time trying to sell my C5 a few years ago for more than $16k, but with the way things are now, who knows.

The biggest downside going private party is all the things idiots will nickel and dime you on, which your car probably has a lot of. Will be  to hear the stores :doe:

Yeah, I am dreading trying it, but :iono: $8300 stings, particularly after they offered me $11.3K a few weeks ago :rage: :ohwell:

It looks like mine would be the only non dogged/stupid modded one for sale for sub $15K, maybe it will get some good interest based on that. That would be the benefit of asking $12-13K, it comes in lower than most for asking but I'm still OK with them negotiating me down $1-2K so they can get the warm and fuzzies.

Sparing conversions, I sold my C6 for the 18.5k I bought it at, and I can't find any for that price anymore. They are all selling for 3 to 5k more then they were three years ago. I do think this party is coming to an end, but don't believe it's here yet. Get more cash, you know what you've got there!

Yea, I think setting a realistic price is the way to go. $15k+ for your car will never happen, but the norm to ask these days. $12-13k is very reasonable.

All I got when I was selling mine were trade offers for Harleys. I got at least 2 per day, and it got really old. I only ever got one serious buyer, and it was the guy who ended up with it. He didn't even try to negotiate down from my $16,500 asking price, he said he thought my price was too low. :lolol: :yeahok: I actually found that dude on CL, all the stupid worthless trade offers came from FBM, which is the absolute worst but the only way to get eyeballs now. I hope to never sell another car PP again.

Your car if it wasn’t ragged on…

That said I think 12.5 is reasonable. I can’t find many ok ones under 18… 20-25k gets you one that is near new

:lolol: $38K... 4800 miles :doe:

:butwhy:

Mine definitely doesn't deserve the $18-20K mark... it's got 118K miles, it's got rock chips, etc. but I have a log book with $19K of maintenance done in my ownershit, the interior is clean with no rips/tears, it's :manuel: , it has all of the durability mods, fresh suspension, etc.

I think listing it at 13 and then selling anywhere above 11.5 would be great IMO.

Agreed. In for stores.

I mean, come one...

Look what I found https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/cto/d/ ... 59158.html

Your car if it wasn’t ragged on…

That said I think 12.5 is reasonable. I can’t find many ok ones under 18… 20-25k gets you one that is near new
That is completely retarded.
