Obligatory C5 Thread
I agree... but not the case in the local offering here, it is like $16K for 100K mile clean automatics and uphill from there for anything decent. These prices aren't what they were a few years ago. There are Z06s here listed for $30-40K.

The price feels a bit high to me... but damn if it isn't the cheapest C5 for sale locally that isn't a total shitbox automatic with ripped up seats, weird mods, destroyed exterior, etc.

I looked not that long ago and didn't really see Corvette prices going up too much so I assumed they were still at rock bottom stable prices.
I need to dig some more, I really wouldn't expect to get much more than I paid for mine right now. I submitted mine to Caravana just to see what they'd offer and it was $14K. So it was a pretty good lowball from what I'd expect to sell it for @ around $17-21K

But can it beat a Veyron? What's the 1/4 mile time?
What a terrible ad.

Looks like dealers are asking around $23K for the mileage mine would be at, so yeah I'd say prices are up, but not as dramatic as I'd expect unless you've got a super low mileage one. Those are looking like high 20s and some in the 30s. I bought mine for 20K with 70K miles, at about 85K miles I'd expect to sell it for about the same amount I bought it for in this market.

Did anyone ever had a parking shade for the targa top that they liked? Currently I'm putting a sweatshirt over the wheel and the sleeve over my shifter at work. I know it won't be the same as one of the RPI headliner things but any little bit would help, no?

Have you used one of those suction cup headliner things? They are actually quite nice for the summer.CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 3:12 pm Did anyone ever had a parking shade for the targa top that they liked? Or use technology i.e. ceramics... don't need to be dark to be effective.

I had a place in Rochester day they wouldn't do the windshield or targa. Windshield because fear of the electronics getting wet, and the targa saying they'd done one before, but when the tint had to be removed it fucked the plastic roof. So I cancelled tint plans. Y'all have a different experience?
