The C8 suffers from it too. I'm not in-love with the design language.
I really can't get into the C8. I respect what it is and that GM made it happen, but overall it's just very meh to me.
I love it in the yellow. Base 1LT with the cloth seats would be pretty great. Still $70k and automatic :doe: so not for me. I'd like to test one for :science: anyway. IIRC it also has shorter gearing.

I'll probably enjoy driving one at some point, but no interest in owning one. A car like that needs to be a :manuel: trans for me. I don't care about it being fast, lap times, or quarter mile times. It's about engagement and fun.

:yesth: it is a pretty great spec... but I find the C7 to be the worst looking generation of all the Corvettes.

My whole problem with the GS is it looks EXACTLY the same as a Z06 except the badges and if I'm going to buy ANOTHER Corvette I'm getting the one with warp drive.

:dat: I'm with you. It's cool and all, quite impressive, and I do like the looks more than the 7, but still not in love. The wants aren't really there for me, which is good, because I can't afford it pal. I think at that price point I would rather get a used Porsche or save money and get a C6/7 Z or GS.

I worry about the phase inducer overheating the inertia dampeners causing a warp core breech.

Pretty much what happens if you get an earlier model without the LG cooling fix.

Very few people actually follow through with destroking an engine because the internet talks them out of it or they realize that they ultimately are chasing the biggest horsepower number and won't achieve that with less displacement. I'm currently building a 302 Chevy for the 944 using an L99 crank and LT1 block. The funny thing is that when I called Howards Cam for a custom cam grind, the guy was like, "I'm going to have to think on this one and call you back. This is way different, it's awesome, and not another God damn 10:1 Chevelle."

I also have a Gen IV 4.8 crank and rods laying around for when I decide to do a destroked LS2/LS3. I also have some LS7 exhaust manifolds to go with that motor, whenever it gets built.

Don't forget about the underhood murals of two eagles soaring around naked women wrapped in American flags. Z06s get three eagles.

Destroking isn't some magical automatic high rev modification though. You can spin the same high RPM with larger displacement since you need the cam and heads to support that airflow.

Regardless I also want a destroked LS with some dumb rear end like 4.56.

Drove the Wette yesterday. A clunk that was only apparent on occasional angled turns has turned into a full on front suspension clunk/rattle. I suspect a negligent front sway bar install is the culprit but TBD this weekend.

Very likely sway bar related. Mine made a clunk when I didn't tighten the mounts enough.
