Yep, I won't be anymore really from whenever I get the new poverty-mobile on out. Kinda and my next tires on Barrett's wheels will likely be more aggressive.
I'm hoping to go with 275/40/17 all around to keep costs .
Maxxis Vitra VR-1 seems like the best tire for my application but only comes in 255/17... I might go with the Falken Azinis RT615K or one of the Nitto tires. I want something that won't shred on track like the PSS but I can use on the street for fun drives too.
I wonder if the Firestone Indy 500 would shred on track. They're cheap and available, well reviewed.
$154 per tire... that is the setup I'm looking for!

Purchased the Miata today, and at the same shop is where the Z06 is. He had it on the dyno and finished it up.
Got it to 399, and then let it sit and put ice on the intake to be able to get 400+ out of it. Got 401.4hp, 391 torques.
This is the start of the tune and the last run
And here's all of them as he tweaked
For reference, it's pretty hot out there. Bit of humidity makes it feel like swamp ass

Yeah, I was expecting 385 or so at the wheels. He tells me to look at the chart and it's at 399. While I went to the atm to get him cash he let it cool down a bit to try for that 400. I would of been fine with whatever, I just need it to run solid. For him it was just that ocd mentality of not breaking over that even number.
It runs really good. At the autocross it pulled hard, stayed cool, and just overall felt great. Now it's time to put all my effort into the slowmobile

400 whp is the right number for an LS6 with headers and a good tune. It's a great amount of power, fast without being and you can still actually use WOT on course pretty often.

C5 as drift car makes a lot of sense, assuming that drifting is a thing that ever makes any sense...
They'd need no mods except for a driver's seat with lateral support and swapping the front and rear wheels. Plenty of torque, long wheelbase, nose-heavy, high polar moment for stability.

Excellent. Kidz can buy them and ruin them for drifffftt or whatever, and just increase the value of clean ones. This is a great development.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Oct 12, 2018 10:34 am The sledvettes are coming: https://s3mag.com/slide-american/

There are so many though... I think the beater/ricer mentality growing around them will drive values down, maybe clean ones will come up eventually but that's 10+ years out IMO.Detroit wrote:Excellent. Managed to beat up on some fruit once again. Day/Night race at the Red Stick. 4 day runs, 4 night runs. Night runs were all trash. Cooler concrete, cooler tires. I pulled a 35.5 during the day, and was pulling 36s at night. 6/53 Raw time. Not too bad.

did trash in the daylight and then started to do like usual and making comebacks and managed to get .2 behind me with a 35.7 in the night runs.
YOU CAN'T BEAT ME! I'M THE DAYMAN! FIGHTER OF THE NIGHTMAN! CHAMPION OF THE SUN!

I wonder if you could make a vette kart off roader like a cheap Ariel Nomad with brubs?
Taller suspension bolts or coilovers, largest OD tires available. Hoon.

The dude is obviously a moran. I wouldn't purchase this vehicle, but the concept of a vette kart has intrigued me for a while.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Thu Nov 01, 2018 4:20 pmFun but about him admitting it's going to bring 5K-10K on BAT but he'll take $15K today.Detroit wrote: ↑Thu Nov 01, 2018 4:15 pm https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c5 ... j-z06.html

If it was worth just a but less, then that would be the plan.

Perfect candidate for a Kart... $7500. It is interesting to see the C5 values... super strong. Old white males propping them up it seems.

C7s are still drug money used....
https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto/d/ ... 49010.html
One of the better deals I have found.
At 5 years old they should be in the mid/low 30s which would be 40-50% of MSRP. Yet they are still at 70-80% of original values... which is REALLY HIGH.
