Dude, you still talk about the bubbling hatch paint on C5 Corvettes to this day... this is not acceptable in a near $100K car.
I enjoy this in a car, looking ahead and seeing if I should be in N/2/3/4/5/6 depending on how much if any I need to slow and how rapidly. I like making a game out of driving around town as it's otherwise boring. To that point though, I think one pedal driving would be pretty fun.Tarspin wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 9:50 amCoasting is a valuable component of driving to me, often times I put the trans into neutral as I approach a condition that requires gradual deceleration, especially on country roads when there's more time and room for speed changes. It definitely makes the drive smoother and more enjoyable for the kids in the back of the car.

It isn’t, however there is no competitor that comes close imo. I have a Tesla coming here over the weekend. Will make a big review after
Your points are certainly valid with the charging network and whatnot. They are just so meh to me though, it's like every tech/banker BRO has bought a Tesla, they are everywhere and sort of an expected choice. But if you want EV, they're impossible to ignore.

Current idea is to get an EV. I haven't yet found anything that is interesting enough.D Griff wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 5:50 pm

Model 3 in general doesn’t. Too many “Tessie” basic bitches rolling in them.[user not found] wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 8:05 pmModel 3 Performance doesn't scratch your electric itch?

Yeah that could be a new activity... How much less gas pedal push do I need to land at the stop light smoothly. I do like to drive smoothly when just putting around, and it sounds like the braking can be controlled with software, so there is an element if learning there. My car has an automatic trans, so I already lost my man card.D Griff wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 5:19 pmI enjoy this in a car, looking ahead and seeing if I should be in N/2/3/4/5/6 depending on how much if any I need to slow and how rapidly. I think it’s still fun regulating coasting speed with DSG, it’s not like it just makes you stay in highest gear at all times while coasting.Tarspin wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 9:36 pmYeah that could be a new activity... Dat Beep Beep
Here it’s all middle management bankers and late 20s brogrammers. Still not really something I’d want to be a part of.
Are any electric sports cars coming? The Taycan seems epic, it would be cool if they did a $60k Boxster EV or something.

No interest in Taycan. I would rather have an electric Suv/truck than a sports car. I’m looking for something practical to in and I also want it to have some ballz/be somewhat unique and interesting.
Maybe the mustang Mach E GT …. But somewhat shitty range and 66k for an unproven Ford has me cautious.
Current front runners are likely Tessies and I3s
