Thank you sir.
Well ol' BMW financial sent me my lease buyout packet. Going to buy this fucker, put like $10k down and finance the rest through my credit union as they're rates are lower than BMW's by like a point. Easy process, they took the $4k off the residual, I take that info to my credit union with some proof of insurance and proof that i paid my reg w/dmv and that is that. My grand total to walk away from the car (turn it in) is around $2500 and I would rather give the state of CA $2500 in sales tax than hand it to BMW so I'm buying my overpriced 328i and will drive it for at least 3 more years to come I figure. Either way, its money down the drain since the buyout for the car is more than its worth but my fuzzy, stubborn dad logic says there is no way I am going to pay that much money to hand someone my keys. Mileage + sales tax + sanding and painting my rear bumper for $500 which has a few scratches on it. Fuck that, Nancy. The dealer offered to sell me some gold lubeless assrape warranty, something like $4000 for 2 years of warranty which is fucking absurd so I'm just gonna do my 1 more year of free maintenance and warranty and get all the 'free' services I can. I'll prob replace the chargepipe with a more robust one in a year since I've been running higher boost since I had the car and then just cross my fingers that ol' Schtieglitz doesn't shit the bed. So far the car has been beyond reliable so who knows.

I know that it would be "move over warren buffet, here comes mcqueenballs" if I instead turned the car in and bought a 2013 CRV but I'm fucking stupid with money like that. I have a tempurpedic pillow, a casper mattress, i buy the expensive orange juice and like nice things. When I die with $50k less in the bank, my children will curse me for being so foolish.

So what's the buy out 28k? You didn't want to roll the dice on another vehicle? I suppose because then it'll be
22k+2500 tax+$2500 overage ~27000
vs 28k +tax ~30,500 ?

You can post in car chat you know ? Some of us rarely come this way.,

It's interesting though, I haven't received any discount off my "residual" isn't that the whole point of a residual... how the fk do you just "discount" it.

Make a gayrage thread. That's where we all post about our individual ill-adventures. In our car lives. :wasteful:
