Buddy of mine's brother has a camp in the flood zone area. Not sure where, but he's gearing up to pack it out.
fuck. I recall when we were seeing all the nebraska flooding shit I was worried cause that will end up here, but the experts said it was NBD. Yet here we are with the bonnie carrie getting reopened as fast as they dare and talk of opening the Morganza.
Really scary shit.

The amount of people or is scary. That sounds like a huge problem for local residents. Assuming they don't drown, there is a possibility their water supply gets ruined.

So wait... house = camp in that area?
A lot of people in this area have camps that they either lease or have bought. It's usually a huge mass of acres for hunting with a small house/cabin on the property for camping and hunting trips. Some guys go in as a group on a lease to make it cheaper. So yes, it's basically a house. Likely not a big house, but all his stuff is there.

Yeah we really lucked out here. Still gotta prep more for the next scare tho. I may be looking into a generator, and cutting and pre-fabbing up some boards to go over the windows so I can just pop em into place when we get some real winds coming through.
