I received my second dose of Pfizer yesterday and so far no reaction other than a sore shoulder just like the first dose, despite evidence that people who have had COVID previously often have more severe reactions.

FWIW, I got the j&j and was fine other than being just dog tired for 2 days after. could also be due to external factors such as work stress.
coming up on 2 weeks then I can burn my stupid fucking mask.

So, got the first Pfizer poke at about 4:18 PM yesterday. To date, as of 10:40 AM there’s been nothing except arm soreness. I did wake up overnight and I was sweating, which doesn’t normally happen. But, otherwise I never felt any physiological difference.

Wild, right? What's interesting is that he always seems fairly moderate to right-ish leaning to me, so I was happy about the stance. I mean, we are not a huge company at around 1200 employees/$1 billion annual revenue, but also not a nothing//tiny company either.
I would expect just saying nothing about it whatsoever... probably what I would do if I were leading a company, TBH.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 6:56 pmIs it? that seems like every single CEO here. Unfortunately we still have to wear them. I mean, I get it... not everyone has it, but I'm curious how long it will be a thing. Despite generally being a "liberal cuck" I am not particularly keen on wearing masks for eternity because it's healthier or whatever other
I will take a cold or two per year all day long to actually have meaningful human interactions.

Yeah, that is legit..
Religion as a reason to not use modern medicine is IMO.
if someone doesn't want to get vaccinated for COVID because they don't want to get vaccinated for COVID, this is America, I don't really take issue with it if you accept that it may limit some things (school, employers, cruise ships, etc). I'm just always curious on the reasoning if there is any.
My half sister won't get it because she said she would rather die than get a shot... what in the actual fuck ? This is a 42 y.o. woman who has given birth to three children.
I agree. I also think it should be the right of private companies to not allow someone in their establishment (whether that be employees at an office, customers on a plane, etc.) without it.

I get a flu shot every year, so vaccines while not pleasant, are mostly NBD to me now.D Griff wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 12:34 pmYeah, that is legit..

In line to get my first shot, there was a dude in front of us, probably in his 50's. He was visibly nervous. He sat down at the table next to mine and I heard him tell the nurse that this was the first shot he had gotten in 20 years and that he hates needles and we really nervous. The nurse said "well, I'll make it as painless as possible, look at the wall, etc" the guy just responded "you can't do anything to calm me, but it's worth it".

Having now spent like 40 hours volunteering at the vax clinic, I have seen many people who are clearly nervous as hell, one dude around my age and in seemingly good health even passed out. I get not liking it and even being nervous, but the outright refusal/saying dead serious that you'd rather die than get a shot is stillDetroit wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 2:03 pmI get a flu shot every year, so vaccines while not pleasant, are mostly NBD to me now.D Griff wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 12:34 pm

I do not understand the whole needle thing. It's the lease invasive route into your body. Have these people never had their blood drawn for physicals? I mean, you could have somebody beat the shit out of you and take a blood sample that way?Detroit wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 2:03 pmI get a flu shot every year, so vaccines while not pleasant, are mostly NBD to me now.D Griff wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 12:34 pm
