That and they're usually less expensive.

Right now, front loaders are sold out everywhere, while top loaders are regularly available. insisted on a front loader, so that took some hunting, but we found one and got a solid deal.

I still remember the horror stories of mold in the first gen front loaders and we will need capacity for two adults and two growing boys. I'm sure top loaders have caught up but I have those old days opinions in my brain.

Most address mold with specific coatings, materials or cycles. Ours has all three of those things.

Also discovered that front loading washers are impossible to find now. Another random sacrifice of COVID I guess... weird, nothing makes sense anymore.

OT 19: Top Loaders, hold the Agitator

I fucking love indian food. If not for COVID my right hand man from India would be here now and we would be going back there at end of month. Sad!

Michele bought some frozen naan a while back that was epic. Naan FTW

We don't really have any good restaurants of any kind here, but I make some decent fake chicken tikka masala with Aldi stuff. A jar of the simmer sauce poured over some frozen chicken thighs in the slow cooker for 8-10 hours, plus some minute rice and frozen garlic naan, is a 5/7 meal for 1/7 effort.

Ideally add a decent 2x IPA with it.

Substituting "riced" cauliflower makes it 3/7, would not recommend.

Those Aldi simmer s are fantastic. The butter chicken is also very good. We have a jar of each in our pantry right now.

Biggest thing for us is top loaders bang around when the load gets uneven...and it's almost impossible to wash big loads like bedding or dog beds more than one item at a time. We've had both, and front loaders work best for us. Uneven loads can still be an issue, but is not as bad.

Good to know. Our stuff probably has a couple years left in it so I'll be digging in more soon.

Front loaders supposedly use less water. One reason why you don't ever really see top loaders in Europe. Also, front loaders can be placed beneath a counter top because no door to open on top.

The side of the tub is shaped to where it agitates the water and the clothes. It's basically a series of angles that force the water in certain directions.
