since I now live in a very hilly area, I totally bought a cupholder for my lawnmower so I don't have to walk up and down the hills for a sip. will report back on effectiveness4zilch wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 3:28 pmShower beer didn't make the cut. It's about the only beer I buy up here, everything else available here is worse or a lot more money. $11/6pack at 8% ABV and they even have it at walmart.Detroit wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 11:13 amSouthern Tier DIPA is 5/7.troyguitar wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 10:47 am There is a gas station chain here with a decent local (Southern Tier) double IPA that sells 2 cans for $4. At 8% ABV it almost makes riding the bike tolerable. Maybe I'll try it again this summer, still cold right now. 36F this morning...
The Aldi beers are actually ;notbad: and $6.99/sixer. They even have an IPA at that price at 6.7 ABV if getting for cheap is the goal.troyguitar wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 3:42 pmIt's about the only beer I buy up here, everything else available here is worse or a lot more money. $11/6pack at 8% ABV and they even have it at walmart.

No alcohol sold at Aldi in NY.
What I really want is to be near a trader joes in a state where they can sell wine, but that's another thread entirely.

Shower beer is just a way to get really drunk before going to the bar in college IMO.
