Nah, it's just a cool wave... we are only hitting highs of low 80s this week which is like 15 degrees below the norm. I will take it though.troyguitar wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2020 11:47 amThat's like here. Mid-August and summer is over. It's going to be 46 tomorrow night.

Crazy to see those 35 degree spreads every day, I like that about the west/desert areas, at least it is often nice in the early morning. Here it's more like 10-15 degrees from the low to the high. Really depends on time of year though, winters in the 40-55 range aren't bad here.

That sounds awesome. I hate having winter in the morning and summer in the afternoon on all but the hottest days. 75 morning and 85 afternoon is great. Weather-wise I'd be happiest with Hawaii. Expensive, remote, and few jobs so it's kind of like NY except for the glorious weather.D Griff wrote:Here it's more like 10-15 degrees from the low to the high.
Are they there?
Did I miss anything of note while away?
I was backpacking in NH last week and then chillin' at a cabin, kept internet/phone usage to a minimum which was nice.

Maybe try some real, plain Greek yogurt? Lots of active cultures in there. If possible, find a small Greek or ethnic grocery store and buy it there. Their Greek yogurt is likely home made without all that added sugar and shit. To make it more palatable do what we Greeks do: buy a small jar of Greek honey and maybe some nuts and add it to the yogurt. It's and super healthy.SAWCE wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2020 10:03 am Gut has been messed up for the last month or so since running a course of antibiotics from my doc. Been hitting my sauerkraut to get some probiotics going and restore my gut health, but something is still off. Adding in more veggies to see if the fiber helps, and Gonna try to do a shot of apple cider vinegar twice a day. If I’m still fucked it next week I’m gonna make a doctors appointment just to make sure there isn’t something else going on.
Had the ACV too close to my breakfast this morning and it made me puke that back up, so that sucked.
My go-to add-ons are:
Greek honey
walnuts
currents
a couple of prunes
cinnamon
flax seed
fresh blueberries
Makes a super healthy and surprisingly filling breakfast. I usually have it with juice and covfefe and sometimes a multi-grain roll with a slice of cheese.
Another more bro/ friendly way to ingest is just throw in a scoop of your favorite whey flavor and mix it up with a cup of Greek yogurt, mad protein. I often do this and freeze it for half an hour for some "ice cream".wap wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2020 12:13 pmMaybe try some real, plain Greek yogurt? Lots of active cultures in there. Yeah good call with the yogurt for extra cultures. I’ll grab that and some kimchi as well. Maybe a fiber supplement too just until I get back to solidwap wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2020 12:13 pmMaybe try some real, plain Greek yogurt? Lots of active cultures in there. You'll notice several of my ingredients above have fiber, like the prunes, blueberries, and currents. And IDK, do nuts and flax seed have a lot of fiber?
Also, before the jokes start, yes, I fucking love prunes. They're just dried plums and all sorts of dried fruits are

Yeah we have some some monsoonal moisture locking in the heat, Airboat style. It's just nasty.Melon wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2020 2:16 pm*sweats in Cajun*Desertbreh wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2020 1:44 pm It's 115 here for the next 7 days minimum. 90 degrees before sunrise. Pretty toasty.
