I bought 4 large mugs from this guy in Kauai and they are amazing. Met the dude twice and probably talked to him for about 3 hours total....old school hippie dude.

Ate my breakfast too fast and some of it came back up. May need to talk to my coach about changing this meal a bit, it’s a rough one.

What are you eating?
2 and 2/3 servings of cream of rice, 1 cup blooberries, 75g protein from whey.

About 83g protein, 120g carbs, and 1g fat for ~800cals, but it’s a very dense 800cals.

Never tried cream of rice... but that is a lot of carbs and not enough fat for anything to taste very good. What % are you ingesting in fat?

I've been tracking calories/macros and I normally end up with my calories coming from about even thirds of each. I just try to hit 200g of protein and throw caution to the wind for the rest of the macros, but it works to a pretty even split.

I have about 40g total every day that I don’t have a cheat meal. About 4850 calories per day on those normal days, so fat is only like 7-8% of my intake.

Our recently deceased lab cost about $200/month in arthritis meds, I could put a Yeti dog bowl in every room and still be ahead. :notbad:

Those things are gifts, and neat ones. Nothing more.

On a related note I have heavily investigated the world of "High Performance Coolers" and came to the conclusion that Pelican offers a better product than Yeti except perhaps in the soft cooler arena.

We recently bought an RTIC as the Yeti cost is just difficult to swallow. It has been really excellent, still pricey but far more palatable and seems to offer similar performance.

I don't know enough about the "HPC" market...but I can say that I absolutely love our Yeti 45...bought to match our Hopper soft cooler. Those two handle all of our camping needs without complaint.

Hard coolers aren't rocket science. I imagine anyone can make a really high performing hard cooler if the market supports. RTIC is pretty cheap and I've heard great things too. I always thought Pelican products were :waxer: AF.

I bought a Pelican 20 quart for $150 and the build quality on every facet is like a nice handgun. Locking latches, stainless hinge rods.....it's honestly something that my kid will own one day. I think one of their wheeled coolers is next I'm getting tired of the POS handle on my "Poverty Spec" one.

There is a lot to be said for an item that can last the rest of your life. I also enjoy telling people about how I've "owned this for 15 years" or whatever. This is typically true of most of my clothing.

I looked at RTIC before settling on Pelican. There is something a little frat boy about the last 15% of the Yeti premium that turns me off. Kind of like a BMW.
