It’s a 2 at best. Crowded. Just as expensive as Whole Foods and full of people that think they’re beating the system because it’s not as expensive. Carried basic English snack imports which bumps it to two stars.

What's Wegmans?

Everyone in Virginia hyped it up so much but we went and yay it’s cool as shit but holy hell is it also overwhelming. My gf literally triggered anxiety because there were 5+ types of chicken breast “good great better best” options she’s like

there's this one wegmens i've been going to since I was a kid, the parking is crowded as hell and lines were always long. Just unnecessarily endless choices. However, there's a new one just opened like a year ago and it's always been sparse nor not as big.
Also lidl and aldi are 5/7, just as good with more reasonable prices, hell less than giant.

Interesting.
We don't have Aldi's here, but the owners brother owns Trader Joe's which we do have. Are they similar?

Both mostly sell their own label products that are fantastic quality at very reasonable prices.
If price comparing between the two, I think Aldi is still a tad cheaper yet. But the experience also feels it. Just a warehouse feeling, no bags when you check out, very "efficient"...harking back to its German roots.

TJ's seems to have a bigger selection of European products like wines, cheeses, etc, and is more of a "conventional" grocery store, and pricier for it. Definitely similarities

But I still love the lack of selection. I don't want to chose between 10 different brands of salad dressing. I just want one good one.

I never really like TJ's for this reason, but now after my medical issues I love the place. They have quite a bit of "better options" as far as lower sodium foods/snacks.

Aldi has a pretty big selection of gluten free stuff too, and I would imagine TJ's does as well.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 1:07 pmI never really like TJ's for this reason, but now after my medical issues I love the place.
