I've been back to eating hardly anything since the start of October, plus no caffeine and almost no alcohol. 1000-1500 calories/day. Partly to get rid of but largely trying to fix stomach issues. It's... not fucking fun. In theory I'm also supposed to be avoiding spicy food, fatty food, citrus, tomatoes, and chocolate - pretty much any food or drink that tastes good.

Heartburn, slow digestion, slow metabolism. Apparently my body is very efficient, requiring very few calories to do anything.SAWCE wrote:Dang. I know you’re about to get into shitty weather, but it if permits, get outside for a quick 10 minute walk after each of your meals throughout the day. Improved digestion since you’re moving around, you’ll ramp up your metabolism a touch with the extra calories burned, and the faster digestion should help the heartburn/acid reflux whatever is going on there.troyguitar wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 5:26 pmHeartburn, slow digestion, slow metabolism. Nothing crazy, just a normal paced walk. You should see improvements pretty quickly.

Noice. I miss being lean lean. Still have visible abs right now at 227lbs, but I want to be this weight and in bb contest shape.. a few more years..[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 5:43 pmI'll tell you what, those paleo meals I bought off my friend who couldn't eat them - tasted great once I kicked them up a notch with some seasoning. And by eating cleaner I leaned out a bit coming up to the race. I saved the carb loading for the 48 hours prior, and it worked very well. I only had a couple small twinges in my legs over the whole 117 miles.
My post-race weight was 156 lbs at 5'11". Lean AF.

They even just got the turkish desert just months ago, called kunefe. Which is practically close to baklava but has melted cheese in it.wap wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 11:42 amDetroit wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 11:02 am
In many ways, yes.
Both mostly sell their own label products that are fantastic quality at very reasonable prices.
If price comparing between the two, I think Aldi is still a tad cheaper yet. But the experience also feels it. Just a warehouse feeling, no bags when you check out, very "efficient"...harking back to its German roots.
TJ's seems to have a bigger selection of European products like wines, cheeses, etc, and is more of a "conventional" grocery store, and pricier for it. Definitely similarities

Working from home is the one thing I wish was different about this job. Even once a week would be dope.
They’re “sending” me (it’s still in San Diego) to a three day conference/seminar/workshop thing next month. That should be cool.
