The biggest issue is the 5/30 wedding. We've already cancelled the honeymoon since that was going to be Germany in June, and have a contingency date of 8/23 for the ceremony itself.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Mon Mar 30, 2020 10:09 pmStart making adjustments that you can now, just in case.Huckleberry wrote: ↑Mon Mar 30, 2020 9:26 pm
I'm thankful that we haven't been impacted yet, but I'm sure it is coming. I'm expecting either a furlough or a pay cut. They've already furloughed 35% of the contractors until July 5th, but my fate will rest on whether or not they shut the buildings down. Finance has been coming at us looking for budget cuts. One saving grace is the fact that we hardly received any snow this year, so that was $150k in the budget that hadn't been used. Energy consumption should be down, as well, but I haven't gotten those bills yet.
Aside from that, I've started the Craigslist firesale on stuff I've been wanting to get rid of for a while. Social distancing makes the transactions difficult, though. Some people really get offended when you ask them to keep their distance and exchange money via PayPal.
I have low expectaions for this, honestly. The seed was left in the shed when we bought the house, so fuck it. I will likely get Zoysia plugs later on, which should be better here (this is fescue). That wouldn't work in Chi-townwap wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2020 10:51 amMy grass looks like shit. Once spring finally arrives for real I've got to get out there and get some seed down, too. My problem is there is so much shade on my property - dem mature trees - that I have to use shade seed, which I'm how well that stuff works. I'm using Scott's but have had only so-so results the past couple of years.

Bought a little 2000w Honda knockoff generator from HF today and a cell signal booster for the glamper so I can work from it. Going to head up to some federal land this weekend and attempt to live off the grid next week.

It's insanity. You have to get downright ignorant with some people to get them just to comply with keeping a distance. All of a sudden, just because the government mandated people to maintain a 6ft distance, these motherfuckers decided their personal space should be no more than 3/8". Whereas before this pandemic, if you stood within arm's reach of them, they had a hand on their pistol ready to draw while shouting, "Don't tread on me!"[user not found] wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2020 11:40 amGot-dang libruls and their hoaxes!Huckleberry wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2020 11:09 am

Seems to work "ok" but I'm not completely satisfied. I'll give it one more season this year and see how it goes. I lost a whole summer last year due to my recovering from my surgery so I've got lots of work to do this spring.

I bought one that's a bit fancier with a more substantial antenna for longer range.
We'll see how it goes. Place offers 90 day returns no questions asked, so it's worth a shot.

Yep we talked about that, I still run into occasional issues with the pre cache stuff, based on my europe experience.
Also a phone is a life line, let’s just say I pop an axle in the middle of no where at least I’ll be able to call
