For certain knives that have non-standard degree edges, they have to send them out. This is one of those knives and I wish it would've been explained to me before I spent $200 on a knife.
You can buy a home sharpener with the narrower Japanese angle.
Which I've since done... but WS told me a perk of buying a knife from them is free sharpening.

Question for the collective;
Since we're on the subject, how do you all sharpen your serrated knives?
:wap: Where are these mangos?

The sharpeners I linked to above will do serrated knives. The manual version is like $50.

I tend to avoid serrated knives as much as possible because of sharpening issues. My steak knives aren't even serrated.

Mine aren't, either. The only serrated knives we own are a bread knife and a tomato knife and it's the tomato knife that I'd like to sharpen.

My tomato knife has tight serration, I'd be :amaze: if there were a means to sharpen it......

I'd probably just find a local shop that sharpens knives and pay them the $10 or so to do it.

At our local farmers market there is a guy that takes in your knives and will return them the next Saturday sharpened for $4/5 per knife with a small increase for anything big/specialty. My mom has used him because he will turn them around faster than I will for her and the price is cheap.

I really need to get on this knife bandwagon. I just put my magnet up the other day. I need to sharpen the old blades and put up my new knives.
