Man, just remember it's a long game, years and years and years. It seems like y'all recently got in it at the epic high point a few months ago... Gotta wait out a storms but over the long haul it will tend up.
I have a diversified index type account so I'm standing strong and leaving it in. Obviously the 401k will take a dump too but whatever. It went up like 22% in 2017, can't always win.

-9.5% now here. Where's my easy 10% return, again? I'm getting sick of trying to save money for a future that won't exist.
It's all about the long game.
Now is a great time to make some adjustments, which is what I'll be doing.

Wait it out, furthermore, wait until it bottoms out, or gets close to doing so, probably going to be around mid January, and then purchase more, buy low/ sell high.
Max woulknow more about that timeline, being in the financial industry. Historically there is always a recovery from the dips that's greater than the value since before.
Hey, if you really want a wild fucking ride, get into crypto.

Out of curiosity, and to drive some discussion the other way - what would be a good buy/investment for when the market recovers?

I buy two stocks at night,

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.
I've got it in a target retirement date fund, I wonder if I should move some stuff around?
