Robinhood should be sunk immediately.
I was able to buy some through Fidelity but they seem insanely slow on pricing.
Do you even invest?

Many other brokerages are blocking it, so take what you can get I guess?
I have a tiny amount in, won't be adding more. Just kind of fun to watch for the maybe I'll make a few bucks, but probably flush it all away.

Yup. I signed up for Robinhood last night with the intention of watching it this morning and then buying in. Once they locked everyone out I opened up a Fidelity account. Webull is another one that appears to have locked people out from buying the meme stocks.
I agree. I put a little bit in and we'll see where it goes. Ironically my 401k is down today too. Probably a result of what's going on.

I've had my Fidelity account forever. Can't sign up for other brokerages right now, so using Fidelity is working for me. I just have very little cash in there, and it takes days to transfer funds into it, which is probably a good thing right now.Gberg2119 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 1:56 pmYup. I never check my 401k. Day to day hell, even year to year swings are it's money I can't touch for decades, if it's even still there.Acid666 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 2:39 pmI just checked my 401K and LULZ, it's down $3k. I check it every pay period because I have to manually add it to my Personal Capital account. Gives me a good chart to see how it's doing. But it's not like I mess with it or anything.

According to analysts, it would take short sellers 5-6 days to actually cover. This isn’t even day 1 (day 1 was supposed to be tomorrow). They can’t short sell if there’s no volume though.... effectively they traded among themselves? Which is like spiderman pointing at spiderman because they’re all short sellers.

This is exactly what I'm reading. That they said they covered their shorts, but it's not physically possible to do it overnight.razr390 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 2:51 pmAccording to analysts, it would take short sellers 5-6 days to actually cover. The problem is that GME blew up in the last week (talking 10-20x) but, the short sellers borrowed shares to short when it was around $20-25. So they kept waiting and GME kept climbing.
One hedge fund is literally bankrupt. $13B gone.
