I went ultimate nerd and played DND yesterday. Not a terrible game. But im still not sure about it.
Little action figures and a massive whiteboard to draw the map.

Its just a bunch of military guys and their wives playing. A few of the wives dont play and stay home with the kid for a few hours. So we have about 12 people but theres usually less because of work, travel, etc.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Mon Jan 28, 2019 4:34 pmWow.Barnes93cb wrote: ↑Mon Jan 28, 2019 4:14 pm

I haven't played D&D since 1985/86. Used to play a lot before then with my core group of friends. Then we all got cars and girls and kinda lost interest after that.
Seemed like we had nothing but time to kill up until then and as you get older you don't have time for shit.

Funny D&D came up. I was just talking to my neighbor about putting a small group together. I've got the paints and what not to make some great scenery & miniatures. Obligatory link to some of my Warhammer miniatures..Barnes93cb wrote: ↑Mon Jan 28, 2019 9:20 pmYes. I didnt even know there was an electronic version.

All solid recommendations. The Crosstrek definitely crossed my mind since my wife has an Impreza, and they're essentially the same car just with a height difference.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Mon Jan 28, 2019 4:52 pm$20k CPO AWD thingy. Hm. Just about any of the mid size non premium CUVs should fit that bill. CX5, Rav4, Cherokee, Outback, Crosstrek, etc. None of them are exactly fun to drive, but they don't suck either. I think they make nice daily drivers.Jaxper wrote: ↑Mon Jan 28, 2019 4:09 pm
Not a requirement anymore, but it still is preferred. Though, based on my limited searching, it essentially just leaves the WRX if I want anything made within the last 5 years. If I were to pursue anything, I'm currently learning toward the A3 - similar to the GTI, but AWD. Nothing is set in stone yet, including if I'm actually going to go through with this.
For fun stuff I think you're on the right track with what you had mentioned before. The A3 is a nice car. Maybe a G37x would be worth a look, or a Q50 AWD. They might be creeping in that range now. Volvo S60.
Golf Alltrack is another decent pick.
That said though, definitely leaning toward the "fun car" that can be a DD, like the A3 and the others you mentioned.
I looked at Jeeps briefly, but they're quite pricey.
The panda hath arrived.

Quiet in here today.

Busy with a meeting this morning, but Bossbro sent an email to the whole company telling us we're closed tomorrow due to the extreme cold. Temps are predicted to be around -20 to -25 degrees with wind chills in the -60 to -70 range.
