I have been noticing that on dating sites when I actually do match with someone, and ask like how was your day? then they gave me a vague response, making it sound less exciting than it actually is. I usually at that point. I usually respond almost everything I did in a more briefly manner when someone asks me that. Me coming from a colorful culture, I believe in spicing things up which identifies the personality you really have.4zilch wrote: ↑Mon Dec 10, 2018 9:59 amDetroit wrote: ↑Mon Dec 10, 2018 8:42 am
I'm garbage at small talk, so if I can get someone going, I just use what they talk about as jumping off points to keep the conversation rolling. That ends up with me being "a great listener" and 'very collaborative". All I do is shut up and let people talk.
I still hate small talk, especially when it's with someone I can't get talking. I usually go with weather and whatnot because I have nothing else to fall back on.
I loath small talk.
"So what do you do?"
"Sure is cold today."
I can do ok with sportsball in small doses. I'm not nearly the fanatic that a lot of people are.
Finding out people's hobbies can go a long way in a conversation (What did you do this weekend?, or Planning any vacations?). Sadly most just want to talk about their

In addition to her getting me the cat for early Christmas. Michelle and I looked at a few places together this weekend. My lease isn't up until March, but we know we want to give that a shot again. We know some of the big mistakes we made last time, like me just moving into her established space instead of us getting a spot together, and we're having some talks between now and then to see what else we can do differently to make it work.

Yeah. I think we will. The talks about it and more open communication about what we both need from the other person and flaws we saw in ourselves have been going well. So I think we're on the right path. We're at least going about it smarter than last time with just jumping into it, especially having only known each other for 5 months.Detroit wrote: ↑Mon Dec 10, 2018 12:01 pmSAWCE wrote: ↑Mon Dec 10, 2018 11:35 am In addition to her getting me the cat for early Christmas.
