Maybe they should form an investigative committee.

Johnny, I hope the job works out!
I've been in Orange County at a small tradeshow the second half of this week. It was nice getting out of the office for a few days.
Flight out of Dallas is delayed now, so waiting. Heading to the mountains with Allison when I get home.

Took pup to Timber Creek Pooch Park yesterday. 9 acre fenced in puppy park. Let her off leash and she stayed with us for about 15 minutes then locked on a squirrel and was just GONE. Took us another 10 mins to find her running around like a dummy with another dog. After walking with us a bit more, she took off again and we didn't see her for another 15 mins. When she got back to us her face was super bloody. I think she ran full speed into a thorn bush chasing a squirrel or something. We spent the next 30 mins in the parking lot with paper towels trying to get the blood to stop.
Retard.
I love that stinky mess though.

You should see union jobs
Arrive at 7 AM, get assignment
Go to area in refinery, meet operators, walk job down, get permits
8:30 go back to get tools
8:45 go to break because too late to start work
9:00 15 minute break
9:30 leave break area go back to refinery area
Set up job and start work
Keeping track? That's nearly 3 hours billable for every mechanic before they actually do anything at all.

All you gotta do is turn bolts all day. Physically demanding but mentally simple. These guys bring home over $100k every year easy with minimal overtime, much more if they sign up more often.Apex wrote: ↑Fri Oct 19, 2018 2:31 pmHiring?Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri Oct 19, 2018 2:27 pm

That goes for you too, and it'll cost roughly just 8-10k more. I'm talking for those that currently have a mk7 GTI. So far it's you, me, fled, and coggles (i think)razr390 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 19, 2018 2:41 pm:no:MexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Fri Oct 19, 2018 2:38 pm

Then I'll use mod and repair money as replacement for a car payment. #FuckOEMEngineering. Keep my current mk7, and make it like a fullretard show car.

But long term ceiling is what really matters.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Oct 19, 2018 2:47 pm
I need to make good on my thoughts about HVAC someday, but taking that big of a step backwards in pay to move forwards again is not amusing.
Take a step back now, make 2-3x more at upper end?
Or be satisfied with what you make now?
Every move requires SOME risk
