I know the feels. I think taking a day or two to yourself will bring you back in the loop.

I agree. I love and miss Kroger. But Lee's is good and they have great potato wedges. Poverty food doe right?
It's not really that cheap. A 2-person meal at Bojangles/KFC/whatever is like $20. Admittedly that's a :fatty: meal and you'll have some leftovers, but it's about the same amount of food as an $8 deep dish pizza.

My wife will be out of town next week, maybe I'll hit Lee's since it's about 2 minutes from our house.

Don't you have Kroger in MI? We had it in Eastern MI.

Elaborate, technically or politically? Deets Bendy.
Truthfully, neither. It's all in my own head. One of those things I struggle with.

I'm currently feeling the opposite to that but definitely have my share. Some people like to be a passenger and some like driving. Not that anyone should have to feel that way about work but alas.

I left my office today for the last time. Its been my home for 6 years. Ive worked on 2 different teams, 3 different shifts. Night alone for months on end. Ive been a worker bee, supervisor, and mentor to many.

It was bittersweet. I dont know how to feel about it.

Today has been an emotional day overall.

They're all over SE Michigan. A new one opened up not far from our house that's :mindblown: fancy.

Asked a friend if he knows of any job openings. Said the navy yard is hiring like crazy. So waiting to hear back on any leads.

Also kitty is apparently healthy and in good shape. His heart murmur hasn’t gotten worse and he actually needs to put on a pound of weight.

Got an update from mom last night. Things are healing up nicely, but she's still not eating quite as much as the doctors would like, especially red meat. She's back up to 103lbs, which is still very small for her, but much better than the 90 or so she got down to before surgery. Colorectal appointment today and then one after that with a osteomy bag specialist. Chemo will most likely start up again next week.

All cold calls?
Mostly luke warm calls... Tons of it is analytics in Excel, trying to figure out who to target. Super boring work followed by said targets rarely answering the phones.

Traveling to CA today for a quick trade show.

Just sitting in office vs working in diff places really makes a difference, as i have noticed since I don’t have a designated office to go almost everyday like I used to. So either home or at a coffee shop
:dat:

The routine is perfect for some people, I really like a change of scenery.

Let’s see those ceiling tiles
The office is actually quite nice, tiles are pristine and white. The work is just boring AF and filled with rejection.

I figured it was pronounced Bojangles, but we don't have one out here, so I didn't know what kind of food. Fried chicken sounds fucking good.
Bojangles was started here in Charlotte and most natives will rave about it like Californians about In N Out, but it's pretty overrated, IMO. Cookout is the better local fast food place, Zaxby's and Raising Canes are better for chicken, IMO.

Know the feeling man. I hope the new position is awesome for you. Change is hard though...

Keep in touch with the people you care about there.

My Philly buddy actually started there (he's an EE) recently in Philly. He's said it pays better and is way easier than his private sector engineering job, but a bit more boring.

Let me know if you want me to ask him any questions, put you in contact with him, etc. We lived together in college and go way back so I don't mind asking him anything at all.
