for a select few.
I got offered a position in the world. I could make that kind of career jump.
Are you actively looking for something else ? Things don't just happen on their own.

"actively" no. I talk to people. I've always had an assured position well before even doing a job application. I've never had the feeling of really waiting on a call back from a cold application.
Interesting. You don't really have any excuse to then. When things aren't going the way you want, time to look for something else.dubshow wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 11:25 am"actively" no. There are some opportunities to go chase money over happiness, for sure. I just wish I had warmer feelings for current gig.

I don't feel things are ever "going the way i want". Thats my problem man. I don't mind working but I don't think I will EVER get job satisfaction and be able to make a decent wage. Maybe I put too much emphasis on money now because I dont want to work til 80. I don't want to be someone that hops jobs but I dont feel the sense of security in my current role/company.Detroit wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 11:27 amInteresting. There's no value in loyalty to a company anymore...so why stick around? If you can get paid more elsewhere, go do it. Obviously, you don't want to move companies every 6 months, but after a few years, I don't think that's the end of the world.dubshow wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 11:41 amI don't feel things are ever "going the way i want". Also works out to like 2k in annual commuting costs avoided. That's several bottles of whiskey.

Oh[user not found] wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 1:54 pmYup, and I picked those days because when I travel those are days I'm DEFINITELY on the road. I don't want it to seem like I'm gone more than I am.
