You're not required to tell them shit.
But in my industry, leaving to go to a competitor causes so I was forthcoming about it.
You didn't sign a non-compete clause when you went to work for the General did you?

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.
Negotiated slightly higher pay and bonus, along with a company supplied phone and computer.
No equity offered.
I'll probably take it and keep looking. Found some really interesting stuff yesterday that's in Philly and out of the energy/oil industry.

Right. Its more than I made previously. If bonuses pay out well, it'll be significantly more. I only plan on this being a 1 year thing. Not overly excited to do it but it's a half decent job with good pay and is a stop gap.

No harm in taking the job and continuing your search.

fiscal year raises are out for us. info is trickling out. I got a little bit, which puts me squarely were I expect to be. Nothing more, nothing less. So its over all but if this trend continues of general zero raise and finger wagging, the future isnt bright at this location. The industry is doing to well as a hole to not chase money.
I do feel an opportunity to build into something decent with this company, as long as we arent continually shunned as a step-child group
