I didn't know about this thread till just now but I've been in the job hunt market lately. I'm looking to make a switch in career paths from software dev into pre-sales/solution engineering. Basically, a little lighter on the technical/head down type of work and more social interaction and presentations. Plus, very good upswing in $$$.
