I've always loved, and gotten good mileage out of, my Timberlands. And they're pretty waterproof, too.

I also really like my Rockport hiking boots. Light, full leather upper, comfortable as hell, and also waterproof. I always wear them in Europe when I know I'm going to be doing a shit ton of walking in all weather conditions.

Mrs. has had the lady version of these for several years and they're wearing really well. Still plenty of sole and they're still waterproof.

Good to hear. I'm also looking and the Chocorua from Timberland. A little more pricey, but they seem a bit nicer with the Gor-tex lining and stuff.
