My company instituted this online system where people can recognize others for something that supports one of our new "corporate cultures". To me, it's always been a bone to s that need participation awards.
Yesterday, I spoke up in a meeting about a decision I didn't like, which I always do, and apparently some exec heard about it and gave me points on the system. just doing my job bro.
Problem is, I'm getting way more intrinsic value from it than I should be. Am I fucking ?
Better, it turns out these points are worth money or stuff (redeeming for stuff is a better deal). Logged into the system today and I have a shitload of points from these things I didn't know about. Apparently, I've been doing a good job for a while now.

What kind of prizes can you get? A GM mug or something? That sounds rather cool actually.Detroit wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 8:11 am My company instituted this online system where people can recognize others for something that supports one of our new "corporate cultures". All of these sis 3.0 and 3.1 modems get great initial reviews, followed up by a plethora of "It just randomly died" or "drops signal" or "6 months later it's dead".
UGH
Nobody on Amazon waits 3 months to review a product, they plug it in, it lights up, 5 stars!
Srsly does anyone have a recommendation on a cable modem that doesn't suck the dong?

No, the stuff is legit items. Right now the most popular are golf clubs and dyson vacuums. It's nearly amazon levels of selection. I may just convert my points to an Amazon gift card...I have enough to get $250.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 8:24 amWhat kind of prizes can you get? A GM mug or something? I had no clue about any of this until someone told me I was in the top 3 most recognized for the month.
I didn't know what that meant until I went in the system.

I would very seriously consider something made by Motorola. My previous Surfboard modem lasted forever, and I would probably still be using it if I hadn't forgotten it in my apartment in California 5 years ago.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 8:26 am All of these sis 3.0 and 3.1 modems get great initial reviews, followed up by a plethora of "It just randomly died" or "drops signal" or "6 months later it's dead".

I'm on a Motorola Surfboard now for the last 5 years that's been bulletproof. Looks like they don't make the surfboard anymore, but maybe something like this?

I forget which one I have, but it's been running like a champ for a year or so now? I'll get deets for you when I get home. It was only like $30 at BestBuy too.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 8:26 am All of these sis 3.0 and 3.1 modems get great initial reviews, followed up by a plethora of "It just randomly died" or "drops signal" or "6 months later it's dead".

You're getting gold star stickers on your crayon drawings because reasons?
I mean, good for you I guess, might as well cash in and take advantage of the system and redeem your points for a small cheese pizza at Chuckie's or whatever, but

Free return to Amazon but I should bill him for pain and suffering. No idea they would even let you return something after 3 months.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 9:55 amI dare KYJellyman to send a bill for shipping to the birthday bwoy.

Our therapist suggested we get a poster board and put it one the wall. On it we would do a running count of favors that we have done for each other that we feel need to be "paid back".Calvinball wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 9:53 amShe owes you.KYGTIGuy wrote:
