Early 2018 MY cars that came pre-wired for Android Auto and Apple Car Play but didn't actually have the software. The software hasn't rolled yet though new cars are coming with it. I get why people are annoyed BUT there are numerous threads about how a class action lawsuit is needed.

This is one thing that irked me on the m235i and will keep me from buying another BMW. Lack of good phone integration is unexcusable today and is a requirement for me.

Ignoring it just doesn't make any sense. I'm sure there's some engineering cost incurred, but it's got to be cheaper than spending money on developing a proprietary system. I've really gotten used to using Android Auto to the point where it's hard to get into a car without it.
