This is my first year using LED Christmas lights, after running for several hours, the bulbs are room temp.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2017 8:18 ami find ours don't dry out as bad because of our higher humidity / temps.

True. I'm full LED on my tree now.[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2017 7:13 amModern lights are wayyyy cooler too.wap wrote: The fire risk is real if you're careless, for sure. Ours is never on if we're not home. It's on a timer that turns it on and off but I also wired it to have easy access to a switch to turn it off if we leave home for any length of time. And I water the thing 1-2 times/day.

Hide it under a nice tree skirt?[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2017 10:18 amWhile it's ugly, I do like my big murican tree stand for this reason. SUV like in it's water capacity.wap wrote:
Same. It takes about 3 pints in the morning and another 2-3 pints when I get home from work. This will gradually decrease to 2-3 pints/day.

I've always wanted to see Thessaloniki. My mother has and she loved it but I've never been that far north in the country. Let me know if they've finished their new metro yet.
So, no Christmas tree at the TK Constantinople house?

This is actually my second time visiting there, last I visited was 2015, saw the Ataturk house. It's really nice, more mellow than Athens

Real tree till the kids are much older, hopefully forever. I like the smell of pine trees and the process of picking them out is a fun tradition for me.

We went to a nice pick/chop your own farm this year. Definitely going to be our go-to from here on out.

I've had 1 Christmas tree in the last 6 years. It was live. And that is the only tree type I will have.
But I don't really decorate or do too much since I don't really own my home or feel as if it is truly mine.
Maybe at my next house I will decorate. But so far I cant remember the last time I really celebrated a holiday at my house.
