I don't read often, but I generally read historic non-fiction and the occasional autobiography when I do. I'm lame.

Coworker told me about a series he's reading that sounded interesting. Series is called Brotherhood of War, there's like seven books. Follows different characters as they promote up through the ranks of an army during some war. Don't remember what war he said it's supposed to be though. Might pick up the first one and then grab the rest if I like it.

Listening to the audiobook of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Haven't read it since grammar school. I forgot how funny it is. Twain is really great at turning a phrase.

Nope, unredacted versions. I listened to Huck Finn last year and had to be sure that my windows were rolled up because of the free use of :mahtroy: - didn't want that to come booming out of my car in the middle of a red light.

They're both really good but I'm finding Tom Sawyer to be the funnier of the 2, with Huck Finn being more of a social commentary, but great in it's own right and also with plenty of humor. Having just visited Hannibal, MO and seeing Twain's boyhood home and museum is giving me a whole new layer of enjoyment of the book.

I want to read A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court now. Loved the old movie with Bing Crosby but I never read the book.

I'm currently reading The Broken Eye by Brent Weeks, the third book of the Lightbringer series. It's definitely a good read for those into fantasy. I'll post all my recent recommendations later on when I'm not as busy at work.

:notbad: might have to check it out. i do have like 150 star trek books to work through though...
This one is pretty much all character development and interesting tech detail all within the the overall storyline of a desperate war between a human-lead inter-galactic alliance and an invading species. Really well done. It's the first of a 3 part series, iirc.

I think you'd like it, from what I know about you.
I love Heinlein for this ...... TIme Enough for Love is one of my favorites.....
