They only made them between 2000-2008. Pretty much bullet proof except for some clutch bearing issues in 2000 and early 01 that are cheap and easy to remedy. They aren't street legal, though a lot of people have gone through the trouble of getting titles changed, so they're not terribly hard to find with said title. Plan is convert one to motard....if I can find one for the right price.dubshow wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2017 9:08 amalso, i didnt even know the R was a thing. His is a 2012 model.

I have 3000 fish assualter 9000 blades... duckface meghee bolted to florida instead of goin to a huge sport fishing rodeo, with me, to sell his stupid fucking knives.
ray ray also bought a nice new FJ-09. Its a sick bike. I had to bring it home for him because he had no gear or a license endorsement. the xr650 was traded in on it.

same reason he bought the XR and plated it from the dealer and never put insurance on it.. (which is required by state law and carries large penalties for lack of insurance)
dumbshit.
he will certainly be getting a notice from state im sure. Maybe next time he goes to renew his DL.

So, you got your common sense and brains from your mom's side of the family, or did he get hit in the head later in life?dubshow wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2017 1:46 pmsame reason he bought the XR and plated it from the dealer and never put insurance on it.. idk wtf is up with his head. He has recently stretched himself thinner. The adage of more money more problems is apt. He use to be mighty resourceful (handy/poor) when I was growing up but that ability has gone when paired to him earning more money/financial success. Now he falls into the penny wise pound foolish group. and is also miserable, which doesnt help his midlife crisis.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2017 1:53 pmSo, you got your common sense and brains from your mom's side of the family, or did he get hit in the head later in life?dubshow wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2017 1:46 pm

Everyone needs a backup boat. What happens if you get a flat tire on your trailer and want to get on the water?

bringing this back to the life!
After going round and round WHY you shouldnt by a 2016 benz AMG GTS that flooded in houston, that has keys and the dash wont even light up/show mileage...
I caved and told ray to go buy it.
Lets see what happens! Cause last week he was sad to see his 2013 911 GT3 RS for with solid front end crash sell for $62k on copart. He was in at $30k...
So now he thinks he can get this for around $40k...

ray has sold his large salvage boat (not salvage on title apparently boats are weird) for a cool break even.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2017 4:47 pmBro... Bro... Bro..

He just rebuild his 22' bayboat outboard. Boat is a little tired, very sunburned but in decent working order. I think he is trying to sell that too.
for reference, the same AMG GTS in perfect condition is only $95k
