Can you SBR it in jersey? Doesn't jersey also limit you to 10 round mags?Apex wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2020 8:21 pmIt’s not a rifle nor a pistol. It’s classified as an “other” firearm. It needs to be greater than 26” long with the brace collapsed; brace so it’s not meant to be shouldered like a rifle. And the vertical fore grip means it is supposed to be used with 2 hands, therefore not a pistol.
It’s absolutely a loophole, but the NJSP and AG say they’re legal.
Also, if anyone local wants to go to the range let me know!

I haven’t looked into SBRing it, but I doubt jersey would allow that. And yeah we are limited to 10 round mags behind enemy lines here.Gberg2119 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2020 11:26 amCan you SBR it in jersey? Doesn't jersey also limit you to 10 round mags?Apex wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2020 8:21 pm

NJ isnt a NFA friendly state.
Its one of the few that out right bans SBR, SBS, DDs, and suppressors. Cant buy or move in with said items.
My critic on your setup (that seems oddly state compliant) is that it violates fed law with that style grip. As stupid as it is, your pistol/not a pistol AOW is an AOW (any other weapon).
which is the catch all group for odd things. And requires the $5 red stamp.
I went back and re-read all the reddit stuff breaking down what you are doing. I feel so sorry for you guys. With dancing around so many fed laws you could have easily fallen into the Federal laws.
You are playing with the definition of a "firearm". I see this barrel restriction and brace mess going away soon, the way of the ole bump stock. Unconstitutional executive ban. The last 2 years have been a massive explosion in ADD A BRACE TO EVERYTHING. Its so wide spread it will get extra attention.
Adding a "brace" to a 14" shotgun that is a "firearm" and not a shotgun or AOW.... is just asking for a bad time. You are riding the gnat's ass of grey between laws. The house of cards is sadly due to come down from pushing people trying to legally comply with absurd laws.

Franklin armory smooth bore AR "not an sbr, no NFA"
Binary triggers
brace on a 14 shockwave
ak/ar "pistols"
add a "brace" to practically ANY SMG....
its gonna fall so hard with so many people riding the line. The bumpstock was just the beginning. Gun laws will never become more lenient or "common sense". Remeber when sig went to court for years with the ATF over their odd baffled "muzzle brake totally not a can" missing the outer sleeve? I do. Ive been watching people and companies push and push the edge. Its only going to make the bans happen faster.
General public is stupid and will never care to understand guns or a more effective way we can manage them.

Yeah, it’s super grey area for sure. I did go into this fully aware of that. The 2 companies I know of producing this style are both located in NJ or have a facility here for them. They are oddly state specific (Troy started them for CT I believe). But they’re trying to do what they can, so I wanted to support that.dubshow wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 10:43 amNJ isnt a NFA friendly state.

Nope. I’ve left messages with the PD waiting to hear back on my permits. It’s been over 30 days so they should be auto-signed at this point...
Beer flu gonna be getting in my way...
Every store has run out of guns and ammo. Walk in and buy.
Best story from today. Ray decided to go buy a Dillion 650 at LGS. Watches a Dip shit buys a tarus judge. Never owned a gun. They give him the basics.
"So where can I go shoot this thing? Outside or like in my attic at a board?"

I get funny stories from my LGS about people attempting to walk in and buy something. Then they get all pissed off when the employees tell them about the months of paperwork and wait times before you can even think about buying something in this state.
Shops near me had lines out the door. They put a 10 person limit on shoppers and said people had been waiting there for 5-6 hours to get in. I was gonna wait till it all blows over so whatever. They're all closed now anyway on the .gov orders.dubshow wrote:

For sure. Thinking about picking up either a P10C, VP9, P320, or G19/45.Apex wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 8:28 pmG, we should pewpew sometime when we’re past all thisGberg2119 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 8:12 pm Shops near me had lines out the door.
