I bought it the old fashioned itunes way. There was limewire back in the day which illegally downloads music for free, but it fucked up my computer after a while. But I somehow managed to still have 300+ from em lol. I keep all my music on my laptop, i download on there, then on my iphone.

Also I hate icloud, cause it still shows music that i deleted when i don't even want them anymore.

Lol i had kazaa too. Limewire was the shit in middle/high school. I somehow saw soundcloud as the social media of music, some of my friends/acquaintances had a short phase of downloading their music in via GaragaBand on their macbooks, lol.

I originally started listening to it back in college when a few guys on the team found a guy who made warmup/motivational cycling mixes that we'd all listen to warming up for races.

Same goes for this one:

Dunno if this counts but I started listening to this style because it sounds like the 80's.

I'd be rich if none of these things had ever been invented :disappoint:

My company had its own jet in the pre Napster Music Industry days...

I'm reviving this from the dead since I'm heading to Day for Night this weekend. While revisiting the lineup and making a playlist for the drive to Houston I was reminded of how god damn good Justice's live version of Cross still is, 7 years later.

Instruments plus some synth/programming along with it when done right is :megusta: doe. I love when metalcore bands like We Came as Romans do it.

Finally over the weekend illness that was enhanced by being outside in the cold rain. Was worth it though.

Some thoughts on Day for Night:
Pretty Lights was a super disappointing set. I get that he was maybe trying to experiment, but a crazy chill ambient set did not fit the crowd or festival atmosphere.
Phantogram was amazing. I liked them before and this live set made me a legit fan. It was great and the energy was awesome, only surpassed by...

Justice.

Fucking Justice. Holy shit. I was re-listening to A Cross the Universe all week leading up to this and maybe set my expectations too high. Nah. They. Fucking. Killed it. Ninety minutes of bad ass shit that had the crowd super hyped. I hope I have the opportunity to see them live sometime again.

On the rest of the acts, Forest Swords has some potential, I want to listen to their stuff on Spotify more. The first track they played was some dirty DnB that I was into but then they transitioned to just flat out noise. No bueno.

Also, missed Rezz, but read that the set was phenomenal. Listened to some of her stuff on the way home and damn. Some deep, dirty DnB that takes me back to stuff that got me into EDM in the first place, like Ed Rush's Alien Girl. Try this or this.

Don't listen to much of the stuff I used to on the gmk6 thread.

I've really likened the more toned down but still groovy sounds.

hate the radio version of this song, but this version is so chill.

Also I’m missing out on Cedric Gervais, he’s playing at Soundcheck in DC tonight! I was gonna go if it wasn’t for the weather
