BUT...
Playing the long game, thewas needing a new paint job every 5-6 years at $10k-$12k per. The siding was stained on all 6 sides and carries a 20 year guarantee (and likely to last far beyond that) so after the 4th paint job, likely to be needed after 20-24 years, the money spent on the siding will have become "worth it". And, judging by the new garage addition we added 12 years ago with the same siding, which has virtually not visually aged AT ALL since 2006, I am optimistic that we'll get much more than 20 years out of it.

Thanks! I love this shit. Every day since we started decorating my toddler has come out of his room after waking up and nap time and goes 'yay it's Christmas!"
Worth it for that. I have a little more to do but almost done.

The trap we feel into with this house was it was so so much bigger than our last one that we didn't see a need to purge before we moved. Now, three years later, we still have junk boxes in the basement.
Purge starts this weekend with a goal of getting the basement emptied and organized. Then we will are going to make a simple home gym area in one section that's currently a disaster.

Step one is getting the floor in (just the heavy duty tiles) and some screens up to segregate it.
Then getting the shit we have moved into it and out of the playroom.
