Apparently there's a Wilwood 4-piston front brake kit that drops 32 lbs for ~$1k. That's a lot of weight and in exactly the right place. MODZZZ BRO
Of course it's going to be 7F again tomorrow morning so I don't know if/when I'll ever care about doing anything to the car.

I have 2 sets of aftermarket with Michelins on them sitting out in my back yard. I can't bring myself to make them visible from the street but some people in town here absolutely do that. Stack of winter/summer tarz living on the front porch is something I've seen here at more that one house.
My are now in my shed, there's plenty of room for them for now, but I'm not above storing in the yard. Hell, I stored my extra in my living room. The glorious single days...troyguitar wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2020 6:00 pm I have 2 sets of aftermarket with Michelins on them sitting out in my back yard. If we had floor space I'd bring em inside but our place is already jammed too full. I'm trying to throw out at least one box/bag of crap every week and a year of that hasn't been enough.

I've been wasting time reading about various stupid mods available and the aftermarket has done some pretty cool things with this car. You could relatively easily drop a ton of weight without making the car obnoxious.
Light - 30 lbs
Front wilwood brakes - 32 lbs
LiFePO4 battery - 25 lbs
CF driveshaft - 12 lbs
Al coilovers w/ swift springs - 12 lbs
Al flywheel - 10 lbs
EL header - 10 lbs plus a ton of power across the rev range
Rear upper control arms - 8 lbs
ROW rear brakes - 8 lbs
Almost 150 lbs without touching the interior, gutting AC or emissions equipment, or putting some stupid loud fart can on it. Yuge waste of money but would be pretty at the same time.

Headers supposedly really wake these cars up. I'd go for that and a full exhaust to compliment it. Interesting you can save so much weight with the brakes.troyguitar wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 5:27 pm I've been wasting time reading about various stupid mods available and the aftermarket has done some pretty cool things with this car. Aluminum rotor hats too. It's a great setup, dunno if I really care that much
At this point I'm leaning toward aligning the thing and maybe getting real tires, though even tires seem stupid since the stock ones are brand new.
Everything else is idle daydreaming. I wouldn't mind swapping the wing out for a small spoiler - just big enough to cover the holes from the wing mounts.
