I was mostly pocking fun at the stock market. Also cali was about 2-3 weeks ahead of everyone else on lock downs... so we've been part of this fun for awhile. Ya'll haven't hit the 4 week wall yet... which was tough for most.

So he paid 5k for his FJ and probably spent about 5-10k on mods now...

I don't even think I'd pay $10k for a TJ...any TJ.

They're loud (like a JL is a library in comparison), the short wheelbase sucks for long distances, power is OK, but nothing crazy...I'd probably be shopping old 4Runners or XTerras or something in that price range before a TJ.

I think around 10k is my upper limit. There are lot of things that suck about it, but it is a quick way to pump and dump in and out of the off-road scene without getting too financially involved.

Older 4 runner/xterras are lame AF IMO. TJ is at least somewhat interesting.
