Looked at some more pics online. I like it a lot! It is I like the Cement but it is slightly played out, this mixes in some green which is pretty dang cool.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 11:32 amNope not "cement" but it is pretty close. This one is called Lunar COCK (rock) . I mean I am not a color guy, but it is actually quite different from the mini (color wise). I don't hate it at all, not my favorite, as I would prefer Cavalry blue, but certainly not something I don't like.

Every time I see a 4Runner/Jeep/Taco with those full Bro tires that just howls constantly on the road I am very ... It's like you're clearly commuting and you have to listen to that.

perhaps a sign of the times, but that's what I like. If I went mudding every day I'd get a different vehicle all together. I have 0 interst in "street/mall" cred. I just want to drive what brings me joy and this thing does. And I won't fuck it up with MODZ, lift kits, leveling kits, mud tires, re-gear, TUNEZ,

That particular model kind of has a modified grill, rook like Tacoma. It is only available on the Trail and TRD spec ones, so it carries a certain specialness. I have only really seen two in the wild in that color around me to date.

I always argued that since it's cheap to give away, we should to keep customers happy and maybe more brand loyal. Probably wishful thinking, but I'm glad my perspective isn't crazy.D Griff wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 11:27 amIt is a really interesting discussion. As my company is a hardware manufacturer/distributor, we have a software Cloud based remote management platform built into hundreds of our products. Huge investment goes into this and it is a really powerful tool for our customers, but it is completely free/built into the hardware cost. I find as a sales guy, this is a HUGE selling feature that really drives biz our way in a lot of areas that are pretty commoditized and we may otherwise be "priced out of the market". Our strategy is a bit different though as our customers are professional installers presumably buying the same products every week/month/quarter over and over for new jobs/projects.Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 10:55 am
Is there a fee to use the app? Asking for professional reasons.
At GM, there's a similar app that's free for the first year, then you have to pay to use it after. FCA is the same using SiriusXM Guardian.
I always found the apps to be very useful, but not worth paying for. I always argued that they should be free because they're really just money grabs. It's a nice benefit for the customer with minimum cost to the company.
That said, in the automotive realm, and younger who love tech may be too to pay for the app, but I could see them returning to a brand just because they love the app. Even if they got a used/hand-me-down car and really liked the app, when they have new car money later in life, I could see being a long time app user with that brand driving sales. How many people move away from iPhones or Samsungs or whatever? Most just stick with what they know.
So I think you are correct, it should be free.

Almost went wheeling this weekend, but I need to break it in first. Toyota has some ruleZ for that.
200km (12X miles) Easy on brakes
1000km (6XX miles) easy on engine (no rev'ing over 4k), no constant speed.
I am going to cross over the first one soon.
