That's a sweet rig right cher. 4 grand. Max, why you couldn't just wash the blood off your hands with this thing I have no idea. Instead we keep looking at FJs selling for new prices because Michelangelo of all SUVS. Also, you are screwing the pooch calling the J120 GX460 a Mom Cruiser. Strip the running boards, put on a lift kit and get some aftermarket steel bumpers and these things are just 4Runners with nicer interiors. These are a Baja favorite.CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Thu Feb 13, 2020 12:41 pm https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto/d/ ... 54626.html
I still like these too bad we don't have any nice ones left up here

FJ's are cool and non depreciating, reliable. I drive a clown car that is depreciating at a rate of a McLaren lease.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2020 2:42 pmThat's a sweet rig right cher. 4 grand. I don't act according to my own profession, if I did I would be rolling in a 2001 Civic I would have gotten used in 2005 with what would be 350k miles now. This is a hobby I am willing to spend my future children's Stanford tuition on and I have.
The WJ isn't a bad idea but sort of as I would basically get the same car again style and I am trying to avoid that. Also I have no interest in the GX, it is the equivalent of me suggesting a Crosstranny for you, we both know it won't happen.

Above MSRP... but man...
I'm with you on not getting the same car twice TBH. Just
Does anyone know about Toyotas inventory system... i keep looking to find a sandstone taco... and it says it's there somewhere... but i can't find one at the right price point... how does it work? Do I have to go to each individual website to check or is there a better way of searching?

New bronco and RR defender also peak my interest. Total base model with white wheels and Godwana stone color.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2020 11:09 pmYou do realize our dearly departed FCA employee would find this the height of irony?max225 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2020 7:23 pm

Taco is 37.7 Jeep is 44k msrp in the trims that I like. My favorite dillerman is going through some sort of a meltdown they have had over 100 wranglers in stock for the last 3 years and now ... 22 and some are still from 2018
I am what the pricing is on them... The fj really did this... it was a far better thing to drive than a Jeep. It actually had brakes and low end torque. Things I would use daily
I've driven the 4.0 Tacoma. Powah is pretty good in that to me, it's not a terrible driving experience.
I have a friend with the 3.5/auto and he openly states it is absolutely heinous. His wife has a 4R and he thinks that is immensely better drivetrain-wise.
I mean. My mom has the 4.0 from 2006 with 5 auto. I can only imagine how bad the 3.5 is. I wouldnt own the tacoma for the tax they cost.D Griff wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 12:21 pmI've driven the 4.0 Tacoma. Powah is pretty good in that to me, it's not a terrible driving experience.

the available 4.0-liter V-6 produces 236 hp and 266 pounds-feet of torque.

Turkey actually cut off the visa requirement for travel due to this, especially since the travel demand has been gradually going up since the tragedies took place a few years back with the gap of Euro, USD vs. Lira has widened. My recent visits on one hand, I saw more cars with Romanian and Bulgarian plates than ever before.
Speaking of Turkey, I am visiting there in a couple months, so hopefully I'll get a cheap ass rental for a couple nights to go outside of the city due to this

Well I can't imagine that much of a delta. It has 12% less displacement that's not earth shattering.dubshow wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 12:35 pmI mean. My mom has the 4.0 from 2006 with 5 auto. Yep. But brocoma doesn't depreciate it seems... 3 years old it is still around 30k with 50k miles.CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 1:22 pm https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sal ... pe=listing

The only manual bro forx in Cali is 26k with 45k miles. New autos near you are 29k. The manuals are so rare I don't think values are going anywhere after this year.max225 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 1:43 pmYep. Darn I am assuming I can't use any of these data points as the F gen seems to have issues with 215s per 1/2 the forum... How did they make the car "Bigger" but the tire options smaller.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 9:33 amMine were 17x8 +38. I ran 215/40ZR17 Advan Neovas on the GP and 215/40ZR17 Dunlop Star Specs on the R53.

215/40 is quite a bit smaller than 215/45, so that could be part of it. Of course, not many tires are available in 215/40/17.

Interesting yea I saw this one as well. I would have thought that since the JCW is a fairly "enthusiast" vehicle there would be more info, but it seems rather difficult to find. If going down to 7" and 205 would play safe perhaps I should... but I would like to go a little bit wider if I am already blowing money on this thing, otherwise I should stick to stock.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 12:38 pmhttp://www.motoringfun.com/2015/10/22/r ... /#more-888
Seems doable. 215/45R17 on a +45 offset.
I would hate to wait 3 months for wheels then throw the world's most expensive tires and then have them rub.

Interesting I don't think I have seen a 17x7.5+39 I did see a +45, you'd think if a 17x8+45 fits so should a 17x7.5 matter of fact it should in theory have even more clearance...[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 12:53 pmThe NM Engineering wheels are designed to fit and not rub with an approved tire size.max225 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 12:50 pm

You'd be safest going with a 215/45R17 Michelin PS4 on a 17x8 +45 fitment or 17x7.5 +39. Consult Tire Rack for approved fitment, they don't mess around.
I wish tire rack sold these that would make things super simple. One and done... if it doesn't fit fk em... but I am sorta going in blind. Damn car downsides.
