There are a ton of people that "tune" these... and there already have been a lot of reported issues. A few mini guys popped their engines because of "shitty cali 91"
But no big deal i am sure it was WORTH IT.
The way I see it is like going to a whore house and rawdogging whoever you like, chances are you're fine, but chances are you may get a little gift that lasts a lifetime.
It's fun while yer in it brah!

Doesn't tuning companies makes file that compatible to octanes, so technically I see no excuse from it.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 12:20 pmThere are a ton of people that "tune" these... and there already have been a lot of reported issues. I ran stage 1 on the 320 for 3 years with zero problems and have passed the 3 year mark in the 328 with JB+ and again, no issues. You're not pushing much above stock and anyway, the only thing you might be looking at is the plastic charge pipe failing and they make more robust aftermarket CP's like this oneD Griff wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 12:16 pmmax225 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 11:19 am I also don’t trust tunes on this car. It’s factory tuned, and it is expansive. For example in sport the car idles at 1000rpm vs 780, it also sends more fuel down the exhaust so that’s it “explodes” and pops. That’s engaged with a flip of a switch.
These are pretty low production vehicles I don’t trust the aftermarket to have done even 1% of the work the oem did on designing and tuning this car.
Remus charges $2500 for the same exhaust, so I’m sure a cheapo tune will cut corners and make my car worse in some way, unless it costs somewhere closer to 3-5k , at which point no one will buy it
It's a bit tempting as the N20 has some pretty cool tuning options... but I'm really trying to resist temptation, they are stout from the factory (particularly in the > 189 hp forms).

Other than that, the things that fail on the n20 fail on stock cars anyway like water pumps, leaking valve cover gaskets and timing chain etc. Lots of bros run JB4 on the 328 which is pretty balls fast but I don't really want to push it
Max, post vid clip of Armenian street racing bro exhaust when you're done. I strongly considering M sport exhaust but am afraid even that will be too much. Supposedly it is really mild.. Can be had for like $900

I was hoping to install it this friday... but i am now since I have a ton of work to catch up on, post my trip. ugh... life...
Also 3rd gas tank...
27.3 MPG
27.7 mpg
27.5 mpg
While not great... not bad... I seriously don't understand the gas tank size... car stated 30 miles left... I got 11 gallons in.. that/s .6 gallons... that's 15 miles at most.

50/50 but this is dependent on location, people in Wisconsin think going 45 for 10 miles with one stoplight To church is city miles.

Why take the effort to block out the license plate? Anyone can see you driving the car at any time with plate fully visible (which is the law).

So aren't you supposed to be looking for $1.5M homes, planning a wedding and looking at plans for a nursery for your Sino-Russian crotchfruit?
Yet here you are. Laying on the concrete in an Eastbay garage installing exotic fartcania on your Clowncar. Way to wave the middle finger at adulting, Maximillian Zhukov.

Wedding is going to be done with 6 people for no money at all. She we went over this. No planning nothing.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 7:15 pmSo aren't you supposed to be looking for $1.5M homes, planning a wedding and looking at plans for a nursery for your Sino-Russian crotchfruit?

1.5M homes ain’t happening because we ain’t married yet and prop values are projected to decrease over the next 12-18 months so we have nothing to lose by waiting.
This clown car is costing me 1/2 of what the Kamry cost me to operate. So yes it is adulting believe it or not. I’m hoping the exhaust will bring the “fun” level to m3 status.
And I’m installing it are my friends POS 923 sq foot house in San Jose. So I have to figure out a way to drive two sets of exhausts that can barely carry me
And you don’t wanna know what I have planned for next Wednesday.

I DO doe. And for the record a day spent installing a turboback exhaust on ANYTHING is a good day.
